The only place I found the image on the web was on a couple of review blogs. This blog uses the image but has the ISBN-13 of the second most popular edition. I am thinking of two scenarios here:1) this is the cover of the arc, and needs to be listed as an alternate cover edition.
2) Someone (either the referenced blogger or someone else) added a fancy border around the image to make it look nicer.
I believe the second is more likely. I searched through ~25 pages of image results and (other than goodreads) that image only appears ~4 times, on two blogs and a couple of facebook pages. Also, none of the editions of the other books in the series have a similar border. And finally, the image was uploaded in 2008, six months before the book came out.
Even if it is a legitmate alternate cover, the ISBN given is still not a valid ISBN-10.
That sounds convincing to me, vicki_girl. I'll keep a copy of that alternate cover saved in case someone requests it, but I'll merge the edition down now.

A google search (after fixing Micheal to Michael) tells me this book is just a short story published in a children's textbook.
This is a serial adder, which I'm working on. I'll let you guys know when I give up (to prevent any wonkiness when multiple librarians attack, LOL)

the scary thing is I found this adder when I saw five editions of one book with no info, except the pub date (which was wrong, I did find an edition on amazon that hadn't been imported). But the adder hadn't listed any of those editions on their shelf. So for all I know, they could have added a gajillion more..

It has a cover but that cover matches the paperback version with the ISBN, and page numbers match. Also, it's almost the same pub date.

The most popular edition needs to be deleted. It appears that someone tried to put the ISBN-13 in the ISBN-10 slot. The erroneous ISBN-10 matches the first 10 digits..."
The problem is that there isn't another edition that's showing that cover art -- the next one down is slightly different. Have you found any information about the covers?
