OCD for Books - Support Group

I love having mine all organized. My latest project is to try to buy all of Plaidy's books published by Arrow. The cover's are beautiful. Some titles I already own in the last printing but I'm replacing them with the Arrow copies.I know it's a bit crazy, but you have no idea how nice they look together on a shelf.

Nothing bothers me more than having a set of books not put together on a shelf!!! My boyfriend unpacked my books for me which was nice, but he put half of my Harry Potter books on one shelf and the other half on another and all my Tudor books are mixed in with everything else!!!! I organized some of my shelves, but it is taking a very long time. I like having a nice looking set of books on my shelves, Susan, so I understand what you are talking about!!

I used to work in a library, so my OCD regarding organization is really out of control.

Are those the UK versions Susan C? Aly- I know it took me a while after the last move to organize but I was such a happy girl when it was all done, I always love to be able to know exactly where to find a book when I need to refer to one. So, out of curiosity how do you organize your book collection Susan C?

If you're asking about the Plaidy books, then yes they are English releases.

Here's my organization, each section alphabetized
according to author's last name.

Grouped: Hardback fiction, paperback fiction, nonfiction, biographies, royalty fiction and nonfiction. It looks quite nice and is easy to find what I'm looking for.

I like the UK covers better in general. Susan, LOL, I wouldn't call that out of control in terms of OCD organization.

Sure, I enjoy organizing books! I go in and sit down just to admire mine and decide if any should be changed.

Heehee me too sometimes Susan C! Maybe the UK covers are better because it is their history after all.

You know, I have said this before but a wonderful place to get all the UK books is amazon.com/uk I have gotten some hard to get (in the US anyway) books from the website. Plus it may be a little silly, but Tudor books from the UK always seem a little extra special to me :)

That is where I've been buying and also ABE books.
