Sounds like we may be on for Sunday, Jan. 17 at 12:00 at Bellevue Library at 1111 110th Ave NE.Maybe just wait another day or so for any additional responses.
Rinn wrote: "Once you finalise the details, I could actually add this as a group event and message it to all members - so anyone in the area who hasn't noticed this thread will also be notified? :)"I'd suggest accepting Rinn's offer now to list this as a group event. I'ts been three days now since several people agreed to Jan. 17 at the Bellevue Library at 12:00. Haven't heard from anyone saying that they date, time, or location doesn't work.
Third place books is great. The libraries on the eastside usually have spaces where you can meet. You just would need to call and ask I think.
The library opens in 10 minutes so I'm still hanging out in my car. I'm wearing blue jeans, a Geek Girl Con t-shirt, and a black jacket. I'm carrying a black bag. My name is pronounced "Jen-eh-see", rhymes with Tennessee. See a few of you soon!
Four of us met today. Agreed to meet again next month.
Hmmm... After we left the meeting room, I thought to go to the librarian desk to see about reserving a meeting room for next month. The woman said there's no meeting room avaialble on the second Sunday at 12:00. No room available until 2:45 that day.
So.....do we want to meet at 2:45 on the second Sunday of February?
Or....do we want to meet at 12:00 by the windows? They told us when we first arrived that the talking is allowed on the first floor near the windows.
We can do online room reservations ourselves. Requires giving the name and contact info of one person. Online reservations are done here: http://www.kcls.org/meetingrooms/

Went so well that we've decided to meet again next month. The four of us chatted about books in common, they dynamics of Goodreads groups....
Yay :) Glad it was good!
Haha Roger, was going to say, there's more than one naval base in the UK ;) Traveling to Faslane is like going on holiday for me :D

We talked about meeting again. Monthly. Are people still interested?
Brandon wrote: "Are you able to meet this Sunday or would you prefer a different weekend?"This Sunday would be fine with me. We likely won't be able to reserve a room this Sunday, but the library told us last time that there's a "talking area" near the windows on the first floor. We could meet there if need be. 12:00?
I turns out that Sunday will be a problem for me this week :( I didn't check my calendar before posting. I can do Saturday easily this weekend or have the meeting on another weekend.

Hope I remember by then what it is!
How about next Sunday, Feb. 28 at 12:00?
Normally Sunday's are great. But I have special plans with my niece. Let me know how it goes! Generally speaking I would love to meet up monthly :)
Brandon and I met today - February 28. Spent an hour discussing fantasy, sci-fi, and books generally. We have booked a room at the library again for Sunday, March 27, 12:00 - 1:00.
Rinn, can you post a meet-up event for Seattle again on Sunday, March 27 at noon? Thanks!
Kaora wrote: "Sorry I didn't make it. I was pretty sick today"No worries. The good news is that people are showing up every time. Looks like we've got a regular thing now. :)
