Looking for editor

Hi Joni,
I think I understand what you're looking for and why you're looking for it here and I'd be interested in helping you if your manuscript is fictional in nature (as I only work on fiction manuscripts).
However as PN rightly said, it would be to your benefit to post a bit more about your manuscript (genre, word count, a synopsis and any other specifics as to what you'd like the focus to be on - eg: plot, character, setting, story-line etc.) so that we can better match ourselves to you.
Best of luck and if you have any questions feel free to ask :)
Amber.

An editor's time has value, and while some here may be willing to help out for free with the promise of a job later, many more are not.
You can get FREE feedback (and betas) at the forums of Absolute Write, though you're expected to give feedback in your turn, too. It's the best writer's message board on the 'Net, and many pros in the industry volunteer their time there to pay it forward.
I recommend that you re-post in a more appropriate section here on Goodreads for betareaders or offer to pay an editor of your choice for their time in evaluating your work.
I also recommend you let people know what genre the book is, if it is fiction or non-fiction, the general word count of the chapters, and the finished/projected word count of the book. The last thing you need is someone with no experience in whatever genre it is contacting you, you both get your hopes up, and then both are disappointed. Editors and readers specialize. If you have a non-fiction history about barrel-making in Russia, then a paranormal romance specialist won't be of much help in the feedback department! ;-)
Here's a link to Absolute Write's forums. It's free to join and the best resource for all writers, like having 7K friends watching your back!

You can visit all the pages and check things out, but can comment only if you join. This is one spot I cannot recommend enough!
Best of luck!
