Vincenzo Spiniello Dialogue is really important in The Outsiders. Traits about the characters are exposed through the dialogue in this book. The book shows a conversation between Two-Bit, Johnny and Ponyboy reveals how Two-Bit is more than just a very intelligent kid. It revealed that he was serious and caring friend.

Darren Judge I also think that dialogue is important in the Outsiders. One scene that really caught my attention was when Johnny didn't want to talk to his mom when he was at the hospital. That shows that Johnny's mom didn't do anything for Johnny during his lifetime.
