You’re right. For some reason when I go the Omnibus/OHC Collectors Group Page Discussion board it only shows 1-5 of the Upcoming Discussions. I had to expand. Thanks

Or more just new series coming out from Image? The site here usually only displays 5 of the top topics in a section and with the addition of Valiant we have 6 upcoming threads now.

I would, I certainly buy a lot of image and have series I plan to complete in OHC (saga, low, east of west, deadly class) and ones I would get when they come out (Dead and Dying, Birthright, Seven to Eternity)

Has there been anything official about how many issues these series will run (all those you mentioned)? Do we know for sure they are a fixed number of issues?

I’m surprised in the lack of birthright DLX . . . But as pointed out, this is the wrong thread so I’ll move that part of the discussion there.
For IDW, I’m still bummed they stopped on VOL 3 for the Locke and key leather bound editions

Solicitation announcements, books release catalogs (Hatchette usually), social media posts, and Amazon posting new things. This particular book showed up for pre-order on Amazon. Not much in the way of details (not sure how big it will be or page count yet).

Any idea if this book's gonna be part of the Moebius Library line?

The Amazon listing notes the publisher as Humanoids and the Moebius Library is published by Dark Horse so I'm not sure if they will match perfectly or not. Amazon usually gets the dimensions listed and we can compare sizes when those get posted. :)

I assume this is bigger? But its also not the TOTAL INCAL, which has a slipcase and includes other stories? Is that right?

Nickviola wrote: "Interesting. And confusing. I see the yellow hardcover version for 40 bucks all the time. I..."Yes. Most of those Moebius / Jodoverse Humanoid books came out with Absolute sized slipcase editions. Incal was first, then others (not in order) Final Incal, Before Incal, Technopriests, Metabarons. I'm missing the Incal (but I do have the 12-13" slip French edition of it. About the cheapest I've ever seen (since looking) for The Incal is about $350...
I should have a look at that Total Incal. That is more a behind the scenes one isn't it?

6 Nov 18 - Battle Angle Alita Deluxe Box Set
This series is also getting a movie in theatres in December (James Cameron producing). The DLX HCs are in color with a newer translation. This box set contain 5 volumes and a volumes of extras (6 books in all). The DLX volumes have been released individually and there are several volumes already available. Per Amazon these are 7 by 10 inches. So, closer to standard size versus OHC but bigger than typical manga paperback (smaller than US paperbacks usually).
Anyone have any thoughts on this material? I haven't read any of it. Good companion box set with the Akira box set?

Is the rick and morty stuff any good? I’ve only seen the first episode and may watch more but decided other shows needed to come first.

The first few episodes aren't great IMHO. I tell people to watch episode 5 - the Mr. Meeseeks episode before they decide if it is something that might interest them. It's one of the best. The show itself not at all for kids. It's at times very crude. However, it also has some deep thoughts and some heart. I think the show is pretty smart. The books are not written by the same writer(s) and don't have the same magic IMHO (based on reading the first OHC). Your mileage may vary.
HBO's Westworld is also very intellectual but depraved.

Relstuart got me into watching it and I love it. Agree the first few episodes are a little raw but after that there are some really good family dynamics that are played out as well as comic references and twists on various tropes.

I’ve been on a crime noir kick for months now . . . I’ll probably pick this up without knowing anything else.

If you haven't check out Parker, Blacksad, and (to a somewhat lesser extent) Brubaker's Sleeper - they are probably my favorites outside the normal hero genre. Kirkman's Thief of Thieves had a very enjoyable first arc (read the first TPB).

I‘ve seen it, but I am unsure what to make of it. Is the story/art worth it? Besides being a gimmicky update on Ash and Raimis movies?

That Evil Dead 2 comic looks good, so I'll definitely grab this.

@Jesse Well it’s almost 400 pages and 13” tall. Think about how expensive DC’s Absolute Editions are. And I think IST should discount it a little bit.

I guess I just think of them with Image and at 20 or 30 dollars more than most of Images deluxe volumes it's a bit of sticker shock.

I guess I’m confused. Seems like most Image DLX retail for $50 and contain two volumes. If you mean that IST only discounts to 30% for Oni Press versus 42% that makes sense. Seems close to me though 🤷🏻♂️

I'm so spoiled by IST. Whenever I see a new book listing, regardless of price or publisher, I automatically take off 50%, thinking that's what IST will offer, then get disappointed when it is less than or no discount.

My only HC Oni exposure is Sixth Gun and I actually like them more than the Image DLX books, not that Image is doing anything wrong. The Oni books dont bit in cube shelves which is a bummer, but otherwise very nice to read.

Either way, my July continues to get more fucked because this has seemed up my ally but didnt think it would get HCs.
Do Artifact Editions get marked down? I really want the Byrne X-Men one in July but if its sold at sticker price of 125 its becoming hard to pull off.

I've been watching artist/artifact editions on it for awhile and every so often IST has a sale but typically it's none of the"big ones". I too would like that Byrne one but the price always turns me away.

Is there any info on the upcoming Oversized Deluxe Incal? Is it just the main story or does it include Before and Final? At that price point ($125) you'd assume complete?

I own the final in standard HC. I was thinking of buying the other 2 in the same format unless the new one is complete. The Amazon listing just seemed pulled from the original so I was hoping it's just a place holder for better information.
