Armina walked through the aisles, nervously glancing over her shoulder every once in a while. She was worried about leaving the Haven after being there for a while, but she hoped that there wouldn't be hunters looking for her in a store. She thought it was almost nice to feel like she belonged with the other normal people, just buying groceries. At least she still looked human, so she could go out in public, even if she appeared more battle-scarred than the average teen.
((Sorry it took so long to reply....))Marina was at the store. Just wandering. Like usual. When she saw another girl. "I've never seen her before in my wanderings." She thought. "I'll go talk to her."
((Don't worry about it. I usually take a while to respond. Sorry.))Armina went to grab something off of the shelf when she heard someone walking in the aisle behind her. She cautiously looked out of the corner of her eye to see a girl, probably around her age. She assumed she was probably safe, hoping that hunters weren't recruiting people her age, but she was still worried about her. She turned her head to look over at the girl, trying to be casual. "Hey there." She didn't smell quite human, but she couldn't tell what she was. She decided to keep quiet about it for now.
"I'm Armina. Nice to meet you." She gave a small smile. "So what are you doing here?" She added, trying to make casual conversation. It was strange to her, but she thought she managed it well.
Armina knew the feeling, at least sort of. She had wandered a lot before she found the Haven, too. "Nice." she replied, still smiling. Did this girl know about the Haven? She couldn't be just a human. Should she tell her about it? Maybe. She cautiously looked to make sure no one else was in earshot. She lowered her voice, saying, "I can tell you aren't exactly normal. It's okay, I'm not either. There's a place nearby for people like us. Do you know about it?" She decided to stay very vague. If she was wrong, she didn't want a human knowing about the Haven or where it was.
She sighed with relief. Good, she was right. "Yeah. I am. Are you?" She looked over her shoulder quickly again to make sure no one was listening, and saw no one. She looked back at her curiously. "If you don't mind me asking, what are you? I can't tell."
((sorry i haven't been posting....))"Yes I am from the Haven, and I am a shape shifter." Marina said. "What are you?"
((i should probably already know what u r, but my brain is not working... :P))
((It's fine! I'm just happy to RP with you. :) Marina probably wouldn't know what Armina is anyway, since she still looks human.))Armina replied, "Good, I'm glad. The Haven is a pretty nice place. I just wanted to make sure you knew about it." She hesitated to tell Marina what she really was. She wasn't sure how other people actually felt about werewolves. She, personally, didn't like most of them. She knew Lapis didn't care, but she was pretty young. Would she even know what might be dangerous? She eventually decided to tell her, keeping her voice low. "I'm a werewolf."
((<3 thanks. :) Ok. thnx:D))"Yeah. It is a nice place." Marina said. She thought for a second about what to say next. She could tell that Armina was hesitant about telling her what she was, so she had to choose her words carefully. "A werewolf? That's cool." Marina said after a minute of thinking
((You're welcome! :) ))Armina was a bit surprised to hear Marina's answer. "You...don't hate me? Don't werewolves have bad reputations or something?" The ones she had known in the past were awful. She wasn't sure how they even got knew members to their pack. Probably kidnapping, she assumed. She shook her head to dismiss the thought. "What kind of shape shifter are you? Can you transform into multiple animals, or just a few?"
"Why would I hate you? I barely know you, and have no reason to hate you. And I can transform into multiple animals." Marina said confused at why Armina would think that she hated her
((Sorry! I had to eat dinner!))Armina shrugged. "I don't know. I hate most werewolves. I guess I just assumed everyone else did. Most of the werewolves I've met are mean, to put it simply. I thought that meant most of them were." She guessed that she had just met a bad bunch of werewolves. She supposed there were others out there who weren't that bad, like her.
Armina shrugged, trying to think of a question to change the subject. She eyed someone who had entered the aisle suspiciously, and they returned the look. She shook her head. Humans. She waited until they left to respond to Marina. She asked, lowering her voice slightly again, "Have you lived in the Haven for a while?" She personally hadn't been there for very long, but she figured other people had.
Armina shrugged. How long had she been there? She hadn't really thought about it before. "Not that long. Only a few weeks, I think. If that." She remembered why she had come and grabbed a box of some type of food off of the shelf behind her before she forgot about it. She turned back to Marina. "So, what do you usually like to do? Do you have a hobby?"
Armina had to pause for a minute, thinking of a response. She hadn't thought much about it before. She realized now that she actually didn't do much. She shrugged again. "I don't really know. I like walking or hiking outside. I basically just like being near nature, I guess. Everything is so beautiful."
Armina smiled, thinking of the forests of the Haven that she had learned to love. "Yeah. I think it is, at least." She remembered something that she had almost forgotten. "I also like to play board games. Do you? They can be pretty fun." She quickly thought of another question to ask. "What's your favorite animal to shape shift into?"
"It depends on what game it is, and my favorite animal to shape shift into is a swan." Marina said. "What's your favorite game?"
Armina had to think for a moment about the question. "My favorite game? Sorry, I guess. What's yours?" That was really the only game she had ever played, thinking about it now. Well, she supposed that she had played other games with her family, but she hadn't seen them since she was about six. She couldn't really remember any of the other games she had played.
((Sorry! I didn't realize you had responded!))Armina smiled, attempting to casually lean back against the shelving. "It's a good game," she replied simply. She turned and pulled another box of food off of the shelves. That was probably about all she needed. She turned to Marina and asked, "What's your favorite food? I don't really have one, personally. I like most things." She had learned the hard way to eat almost anything put in front of her.
((Lol! its okay. sorry i haven't responded until now. i have been having some well.... lets just call them difficulties in life))"I don't really have one." Marina said.
((It's fine. I totally understand! :) I'm glad you're back!))Armina smirked at her. She supposed they had some similarities. This girl seemed pretty nice. She checked her basket and realized she had everything she had needed to get. She looked back up at Marina. "Do you want to head back to the Haven? Or do you need to grab something here?"
"Alright, Come on," Armina replied, making sure Marina was following her before heading to the checkout. She paid for her items and grabbed the bag, thanking the cashier. "Ready to go?" she asked Marina when she was all set.
((thank you so much for being so patient with me while my life has been a mess. You are great!))"Yep." Marina said.
((Awww, Thanks! It's nothing at all, I know life can be a pain sometimes! :) ))"Okay. Then, let's go," Armina responded with a smile. She held open the door for Marina, waiting for her to follow before she walked out with her. She started heading back toward the Haven, thinking of how happy Lapis would be when she returned with some more food.
((yeah.)) ((Hey, i am leaving for a few days because the last few days have been crazy, and right now i am an emotional wreck. Thanks for all your help. I'll be back someday soon.))Marina smiled, and started walking back thinking of all the things she saw while wandering.
((Is this the end, then? I understand why you might want to leave for a bit, but come back soon! I'll miss you a lot!))
