Kaleigh This discussion is about dialogue in The Outsiders. Dialogue is what characters in the book say to keep the story moving along. A possible example of dialogue the book is how Ponyboy responds (yelling) to his fights with Darry. The story would not be as interesting if Ponyboy didn't do anything when Darry yelled at him. Ponyboy yells back making this dialogue.

I agree with you. Since Pony was yelling in that "piece of dialogue", it reveals his character better.
