Cooper Dialogue is analyzed in two ways. What one says and how one says it. Someone could say something mean, and be sarcastic, and that would have different meaning then a genuinely nice statement. This is apparent in Eragon, especially in Eragon's discussions with Brom, and Eragon's discussions with Saphira.

Cooper I have read further into the book, and have realized that Saphira loves Eragon very much. This became apparent through dialogue. Other characters have had their traits revealed through dialogue as well. Can you think of any?

Cooper I think that Jeod's high-and-mighty personality has become apparent from how he says things. He uses sarcasm and emphasis on certain words.

Cooper Eragon has a lot of internal conflict. Helen's internal conflict is wether to stay with Jeod, or leave him. Eragon and Brom have the same external conflict, because they are both fighting Urgals and chasing the Ra'zac.

Cooper Eragon just found the Ra´Zac, and the internal conflict of finding them has blossomed into an external conflict. It is now an external conflict, becuase the Ra´Zac are currently chasing Eragon and his travelling buddy to try and kill them.

Maxine What do you think of the different accents? What does it make you think of the different characters? I found when I read this that the certain ways the author described the voices (whether rough or smooth or things like that) left an impact on me.

Maxine Specifically with the Ra´Zac. The descriptions of their voices put a shiver down my spine.

Cooper exactly. The way someone says something can put different meaning into it. If someone has a Ra'Zac like voice, you'll get freaked out by anything they say, even if that wasn't the intention

Maxine This is unrelated, but don't you find it amazing that the author wrote this at only 15?

message 10: by Cooper (new) - added it

Cooper I was not aware of that, but it is very interesting. It shows that the author really is a prodigy.

Maxine He is. As I am striving to write a book, he is quite the idol.

Cooper good idol, at that

Maxine definitely. I own the first three books, and I never get tired of reading them over and over again. Inheritance, the last book, was a bit of a let down though.

Cooper I'm still on the first book, so no spoilers please. ;)

Maxine Of course - this series is too amazing to spoil.
