Hi Everyone,

Apologies for the delays in posting.

This is thread for the final section of RED RISING, Part IV: REAPER. Please focus your comments on this specific section but also feel free to mention your experiences reading the book, the ending, GOLDEN SON, and your speculations for MORNING STAR.

The reading period for this section closes on 11/20

Here's the description for the final act: Saved from Cassius’ retribution by Mustang, Darrow must change the paradigm if he hopes to achieve victory over the other houses in the Institute. Will his ragtag band of friends be enough to overcome the sinister Jackal?

Enjoy everyone & Happy Reading!

Jillian Brown | 14 comments All the feels, Brady. All of them. I kept turning the page over and over, not believing it was true. :'(((

Karen’s Library | 15 comments I'm listening to the audio and when Darrow sings the reaper song at the beginning of this section, my whole body broke out in chills. The narrator was AMAZING!!!

I'm reading the book for the first time, but your post makes me want to go get the audio book after I finish reading just so I can have a completely different experience of the world in which Darrow must survive.

Andrea RAGE KNIGHT! RAGE KNIGHT! RAGE KNIGHT! awwwwwwww . . .

Carol | 9 comments Part IV was in many ways a very satisfying and immersive read. I cheered for Darrow's victories and felt like weeping for his failures and set-backs. Thank goodness for Mustang! She not only saved Darrow physically but she made him remember that he can't only be a avenging hero but when all is said and done; he mustn't forget his humanity amidst all the atrocities taking place in the world around him. I'm actually putting off reading "Golden Sun" for just a short space of time just so I won't have to wait too long before "Morning Star" is released. That is if I can stand the anticipation seeing how "Red Rising" left off. I've got so many questions. Well, maybe I won't wait as long as I had talked myself into. Oh, and by the way, I want to thank Pierce and Del Rey books for giving me the opportunity to participate in this "book club" (working in a library makes me think in those terms.) Even though it was technically for re-reads, I felt very comfortable putting in my 2-cents worth as a first-time reader. To be candid, due to the glowing reviews and knowing those who said that it was a must-read book, I starting reading "Red Rising" several times without it really hooking me into the story. But now, I too have joined the avid fandom of the story of Darrow. Again and again, you have my thanks.
