Kenichi sighed, "a scatterbrained person," he replied, wondering how she did not know. She was either really old or really young, or well, really isolated.

"She doesn't." He didn't bother clarifying, because indeed on a daily basis it seemed like Mio's mind was all over the place and not focussed a all. Though of course, it never occured to Kenichi that Exultantis was thinking naively. Which when he discovered it would probably think was cute, since it reminded him of his sister.
[[ugh, it feels strange rping him lols, since previously he was with one of Sakura's characters. Though not specially created for her, but still. ]]

(I haven't done that so I can't sympathise but I can empathise)
Kenichi blinked at her words, and said, "um...Mio's brain is not literally scatter," he chuckled lightly, amused by this display of naivety. Although Mio wouldn't react like that, she would perhaps say something similar perhaps, oh did they fly away somewhere? Yeah. Probably.
[[Lucky you, this is the second time! *sigh* oh wells, I'm rping him okay at the mo!]]

"Of course, I have such an ability, I just don't waste the energy to do it often," he said, the smile slipping away from his lips when she pointed it out. He scowled faintly, not for any particular reason except that he was used to scowling.

Kenichi made a noise and batted her hands, "away, get away you...cat!" He said, unused to being touched. Actually, he probably really hated being touched, but since no one had really tried because he could look rather intimidating sometimes, hadn't found out til now. "Don't do that. And no. I'd rather not smile. It takes effort."

"I didn't hurt you that hard," he said flatly, glaring faintly at her. "Don't be a baby about it." It was good that he was only scolding her, rather than pretty much ignoring her. In a way, he was treating her similarly to Mio. But not.

[[Lols Cookie!]]
"Is it? I hope you don't expect me to apologise about it," he said staring at her with strangely defiant eyes. Kenichi did not particularly feel like he had done anything wrong. She had touched him in a very intrusive manner, and he did not like it at all.

Kenichi just raised a brow as if to ask what are you so happy about? He could understand what she could want to be happy about when all he'd done was reprimand her like a child. And then she was hugging him. Stiffening up, he scowled, and growled, "what the hell do you think you're doing?" He attempted to push her off him.

"Sorry, I-I was just so happy." She apologised as she continued to wipe her eyes with hands that had never experienced tears before.
"GET OFF ME," he growled at her, just as she let go off him, and wiped tears frm her eyes. Noticing that, he stiffened up even more, not entirely comfortable with crying girls since well, whenever a girl cried, it meant he was required to do something ...difficult. Usually he girl who cried was Mio. "Happy? Why?" He asked her.

Kenichi blinked. He felt as though she was either really naive, or really innocent, or well...hadn't been out and about much because the way she was looking up at him with that smile and glistening eyes, he was only slightly wary. "I see...well, like I said, don't expect me to apologise. And also...don't get to happy that I don't treat you any different from anyone else. Personally, I couldn't care less."

Kenichi just frowned somewhat, and blinked, thinking she was the strangest girl he'd ever met simply because of the fact that she appreciated his grouchy, moody behaviour. Not even Mio appreciated it. Though she rarely paid attention to him when he was being moody simply because she was paying attention only when she was in the mood, and then drifting off whenever she liked. "You're strange."

She knew that they had found her but the problem would be getting rid of them without injury. She would have to be careful about this.
Right now the man was facing her back in a circle of tree's, she twitched her ears to try and catch sounds and her nose sniffed slightly for matching scents.
She could sense two swordsman coming from the left side, one planning to go for her and disarm her and the other planning from the looks of it to 'dispose of' the man.
There were two archers in front and behind them for ranges support incase something goes wrong but all their arrows were tranq's and designed to remove threat without causing damage.
The tree's above them were littered with 7 men ready to leap down with syringes but of what she couldn't tell and incase that doesn't work she could sense the scent of an elite elemental manipulator. This was going to be tough.
Kenichi yawned, bored. Bored because he had sensed several pairs of eyes watching them. While he wasn't trained as a warrior, or whatnot, he was used to being the sole protector of Mio Mnemosyne. That girl was more than oblivious than normal obliviousness, and even though she knew how to defend herself, it was only when she had the chance to use her power on her opponent, which required close contact, and an opponent who was not trained. Other than that, Kenichi acted as her bodyguard, and thus had learnt over time, how to best keep her from harm. Not even looking around, he merely tested the gravitons in the atmosphere out of habit, leading to how he had discovered the presence of a number of well, hostiles within the area.
Looking at the girl in front of him, he noted the twitch in her ears, and the tone of her voice. So she noticed. Well, expected of someone who was supposedly a clan leader. Of course, Kenichi was sceptical about this still, despite what she told him. He took it as just something anyone wanted to say when they wanted. Of course, he also partly believed her, but well, he wouldn't completely believe her until he really saw it with his own eyes. This was how he protected Mio. And he didn't expect to protect her in any other way. Well, now that she was on a date with her boyfriend, he had no choice but to leave the job of protecting to him.
Even if it was killing him. Sighing, he wondered what the girl in front of him would do. After weeping happy tears at the fact that he had been nothing but rude to her - though he could rationalise the reason, he prefered not waste the energy in doing so - she had become serious. Knowing full well, he could take out all of them with just one clench of his fist, he was suddenly taking an interest in what this girl could do. If she was so important, these hostiles were probably not after him. Well, he didn't recognise any of their ugly faces - he knew this even without seeing them, because anyone who was after him or his sister did not bother to send them like this. There was no point, they knew that he knew they were watching, and often, in relation to him and Mio, they wouldn't even bother hiding. They would merely approach, and do their best to get rid of him, to get to Mio.
The problem now was, would they attack him too in order to get to the girl in front of him? Because if they did, then that would be a problem. "Well, what are you going to do?" he asked her, not even referring to what she had said before. Watching her, still casually sitting there, he had no plans of being ambushed any time soon.

Immediately she had gotten to work and strings launched from her fingertips up and over a branch before coming back down and latching onto the sword going for the man with her, leaning forward once the strings were attached and yanking the sword from his grip, sending it flying upwards as she rose her leg in time to kick the hands of the man going for her. The sword went up and she continued her forward motion into a front flip as the archers decided to fire.
As she stood back up the arrows were already on their way and so the sword she had already gripped with her strings she sent behind the man with her and deflected the arrows up before the sword continued in a spiral spin and launched the arrows back at the archers, tranquillising the both of them as she grabbed the two arrows coming in front of her with her hands, flinging them at the two swordsman who were awake but now got put to sleep as the next volley of arrows came at her in time for the sword she had kicked up to fall back down into her grip, twirling as she repeated her previous action of launching the arrows up and sending them at their archers.
Suddenly the seven men in the tree's leapt down, seeing how the guy was doing nothing, all focusing on Exultantis. The roots of the tree's suddenly came to life as Exultantis's strings met several tree's, causing the assailants to lose their footing and release the syringes to which she sent a vine from each tree to shatter to pieces before wrapping around each of the men and tying them up to a tree. That took care of everyone but the elemental manipulator who Exultantis knew would be no where near as easy as the trash she just put out with the only damage she caused being a wounded wrist from one of the swordsman as injury and without the man with her having to do anything.
The elementaler walked out after the small amount of time it took Exultantis to dispatch of the attackers, giving that slow and sarcastic clap as he went.
Kenichi hadn't moved a single muscle while the girl in front of him had taken care of the hostiles surrounding them. In fact, he had just sat there, leaning back, a frown creasing his forehead like always...and on a consistent, endless basis, he had a look of disapproval on his face to match it. He didn't approve of her methods of fighting. He could probably point out several of her flaws even though he wasn't an expert on fighting. But he wasn't going to say that she was brilliant. Far from it. In fact, she reminded him of himself. Not Mio. Mio as unorthodox with her methods but effective. Kenichi aimed to disarm and disable as efficiently and quickly as possible. So this neko in front of him somewhat reminded him of himself. And as arrogant as it was, Kenichi definitely thought that he could do better. She had wasted too much energy and time taking them out.
When she rendered the last of the hostiles inoperative, he watched as someone else walked into the clearing. His frown didn't clear but it didn't deepen either. He sighed, wondering what the hell this guy wanted. First her to disturb his afternoon, and second, this person to disturb him. Even though it was annoying, he had to admit that it was better than spending more hours pondering what could possibly happen between his sister and her boyfriend. Despite being how old he was, he was surprisingly naive in his thoughts relating to his sister and her boyfriend. It was because he was too concerned with his sister, and had a stubborn image of her purity within his mind.
Oh yes, to Kenichi, Mio was only a pure, bright, shining light of loveliness. Ever since she was a baby, he had watched over her. Truthfully though, he had hated her at first. He had hated the idea that his father could love another woman, another woman who was not his mother. Kenichi hated that he could have left his mother to live out her human life with him only. That was before he manifested fully as demon at seventeen. From there touhg...it was following his father around learning from him.
Kenichi lied. He was a fighter. Just not the kind of fighter who deliberately went out in search of a fight. No, if anything, he waited until Mio was in danger before picking a fight. After all, it was their father who had taught him to fight. Looking at the newest hostile, Kenichi didn't need a brain to recognise that this one was just as unfriendly as the others. To him, they were all equally as antagonistic. Stretching his arms back and resting them along the back of the bench chair, Kenichi considered joining in this time. But really, he didn't feel like it. There was no one he wanted to protect in particular, and it wasn't like the girl in front of him needed his help.
Tilting his head to the side, his eyes scanned he new hostile, and then shifted to the Neko. Kenichi didn't like the way the new hostile was clapping his hands in a slow mocking manner. If anything, it ticked him off, and with his dangerous, bad boy kind of look, Kenichi sure as hell wondered if it would be possible for him to refrain from jumping into a fight. Without moving his head - he hardly wasted the tim eor energy to move his head fully, just moving his eyes - his eyes slid back over to the hostile, gleaming brightly violet. His long dark hair framed his face as he flexed his arms a tad, leaving them resting on the chair back, still looking casual.

The man wore a long blue robe which just brushed across the ground and was trimmed in silver. His hair was whiter than snow but his red eyes burned brighter than the sun. His skin was pale, yet still looked healthy and his build was slightly on the less masculine side. His fingers were lines with rings and a bracelet on each wrist.
"Time to come home little lady." The man said as he stopped clapping and began to pace towards her. Exultantis pulled on her strings, sending a flurry of small trees and branches at the man but each one was shredded into oblivion before reaching the un-phased man.
Several knights made from wood launched out from the tree's and took position between her and the man, thirteen in total and all carrying sharpened swords and all attacked the man at the same time.
The first two went for each of his sides but were sliced up before getting within a meter of him. The third threw the sword in hope for a distraction but the man leant to the side as it sailed past as the man looked at the warrior, shredding it to pieces.
Growing weary of this the man clicked his fingers and snapped everyone of Exultantis's strings which sent a wave of pain through her and she knelt on the ground in pain before the man stopped in front of her and looked at Kenichi.
"I believe you are wise enough to not interfere." He said with a sly smile as he reached down to grab Exultantis's collar who preceded to kick, scream and demand to be let go of but to no avail as the man began to drag her away.
Little lady? Kenichi thought, snorting at the way it was said. While Kenichi had considered the girl a child, to him that still sounded overly presumptuous considering the girl was a leader. But then, it wasn't like he even knew anything about her lifestyle. So what could he say? But then when the man pretty much rendered the Neko inoperative, Kenichi blinked, interested. He was curious about this man, who next seemed to daringly smile slyly at Kenichi in the midst of reaching down and grabbing the Neko's collar.
That angered him. Well, a lot of things, nearly close to everything angered Kenichi when he felt like it. And hearing those words, and watching a Neko kick and scream, angered him. Maybe it was because he just didn't like to be told that he had done something right. He liked to be the one to point it out to others why his decisions were correct - as he often pointed out all the time to Mio - and not the one told that he had done it right. Wise. Perfect. Whatever. He didn't like it. Scowling, annoyed, he said, "yeah, well, it looks like I ain't wise enough." He clenched his fist, manipulating the gravity around the man.
Kenichi was not a weakling, however, in this case, he only intended to distract the man long enough for the Neko to be smart and move out of the way. Whether or not he had managed to affect the gravity around the man, as Kenichi did not know exactly how strong the man was, much less, what his primary abilities were. Either way, Kenichi had years of experience on him when he used his abilities against the man dragging the Neko away.

Exultantis didn't like this, continuing to try and skirm inside her earth cage but since only her head could move it wasn't that effective but she had stopped making noise.
"Hopefully you do have more than that." The man mocked as he turned around, the affect of gravity could be seen on his body ever so slightly as his body slightly hunched. Everyone either underestimated this man or overestimated which lead to a mistake and usually ended up in his victory but never has he killed a man, or woman.
Kenichi was pleased to know that his abilities were affecting the man, however, he wasn't comfortable with the situation. Indeed, Kenichi could be hotheaded sometimes in getting into a fight, but only when insult came to Mio. Mio was his deadliest weakness. She would always be. Just like the woman whoever she might be, who stole his heart. He would go to lengths to protect them recklessly. But at this moment, his head was still screwed on.
"Oh, I can, but well, and I'm not too wise either," he said, releasing the gravity around the man, sending them quite possibly upwards since Kenichi had reduced the gravity around him, making it seem like the man was weightless. His eyes strayed for a moment to the Neko squirming inside her earth cage, and then looked back up to determine the man's next move.
His father had taugh him to never under or overestimate one's opponent out of the possibility of making a grave mistake. Even though Kenichi had followed this rule of thumb, it wasn't easy to just follow. Because one never knows truly if they are over or underestimating their opponents. If they did, then there wouldn't be fights. Things are avoided, or things are dealt with without even a fight. Kenichi now, cared not for what reason he might walk into this fight with, he just walked into it.

The man looked defenceless at the moment but it was one of many simple tests the man performed to evaluate people, he was primed and ready for a fool will only attack him recklessly no matter how lax someone maybe.
Kenichi raised a brow at how calm the man was. This steeled his guard even more. Pulled all the way up, Kenichi was prepared. And in thinking, he considered delving in recklessly. Yet that would be the most foolish thing to do. But well, if this guy was that overconfident, Kenichi wanted to see what he was like if someone attacked him. Not moving much, his fisted hand pointed two fingers out to the side, shifting the gravity so that mass was now attracted to the wall of the school that loomed to the left of the man.
If the man wasn't as ready as he looked, he would have flown to the wall, pinned by the new gravity field. If not, then Kenichi would have to find another method of dealing with this man. He didn't want to have to pull out his bigger moves, moves that would drain him physically and leave him weak if they should so fail. But they rarely failed because they were potentially catastrophic. Looking at the man, he said, "depends, who are you? And what do you want with the Neko? I don't like people ruining my afternoon. She might have ruined it first, but you're the second making her make as much noise as she had been making." Don't think I'm so easily trodden on either, he thought.

This man's strategy wasn't offensive but relied mainly on countering his opponents moves, it's why he succeeded so well. When he does attack no one is ready for it.
Kenichi grunted and was highly affected by the cyclonic winds that spun his way. Releasing his hold on the man's gravity, he felt himself spin around the courtyard for a moment, before he shifted his gravity and rolled on the ground, finding it really nice to be back on land. At this moment, he was near the Neko, not really part of the plan, but handy none the less. Shifting the gravity around the earth around her, loosening it, he offered her a hand, while at the same time, shifting the gravity attraction of the man, attracting him to another wall since Kenichi had released his previous manipulation of the man's gravity. This served only as a distraction though. He wondered if such a man would be distracted so easily.

Exultantis felt the earth loosen around her and managed to bring an arm out but as she reached out for Kenichi, she dropped as the ground swallowed her up making her disappear from sight with a slight scream being the last sound from her that was heard.
"Multi tasking is taxing." The man said to Kenichi as he smiled, the battlefield was this man's kiddy park and wasn't obviously affected by the change in gravity.
"For you," said Kenichi, looking at him with half closed eyes as he sighed. So, this man was obviously not easily distracted. He looked ridiculous, and Kenichi would have been envious of his cloak if he was back in the middle ages and actually cared. With Kenichi's bomber jacket hanging open, Kenichi looked over at the man, "so what did she," he nodded his head in the Neko's direction, "ever done to you? I'd think that practically burying her reflects negatively on yourself. Just who are you again?" His tone slightly hinted at boredom.

"Now if you want to prove your worth I suggest not spouting any excuses." The man said as he tossed his head and caused his hair to bounce upon his head, a smug smile on his face and mischievous glint in his eyes. It was time for the second test.
"Worth? I'm sorry, I'm not interested in doing so, for what reason would I want to prove my worth?" He asked snarling. Standing up, he straightened his jacket front, and ran his hand through his hair, combing the long strands backwards. "If the Neko is safe, then my job here is done. Since I thought she was being manhandled - something I do not approve of when it comes to women - I stepped in. But if you're just her advisor, then she's obviously at hardly any risk." He turned around, prepared to walk away before he turned back. "Whatever you think I am, you're wrong. I'm not interested." Not unless I think you're a threat to anyone I actually do give a damn about.

"Nope, but then...she's not around is she?" He said shrugging, not particularly caring, even though the man was quite right. Mio would highly disapproved. She'd smack him one too. But now that she was so busy with her boyfriend, it wasn't like she had the right to complain. She wasn't around. it irked him a bit though to know that this man knew what he was, and what Mio was. It meant that Mio was vulnerable. Question was, how vulnerable was she right now? "So? Do you plan to take me in? Because I can guarantee that you won't be."

"It's terrible advice," said Kenichi, raising a brow at the Neko and saying directly to her, "if I were you, I wouldn't less an ass and a half like him drag you about." He wondered why she didn't bother trying to fight the man even more than she had fought before. She was more than capable, from what he'd seen, and in fact, she probably had the ability to somehow escape this man somewhat. But, yet was she afraid or something? He wondered.

"So you're not going to fight?" He asked her as the man continued to walk off with the Neko, who had stopped squirming after a while. In a way he was asking to provoke her, to get her to stand up and not accept the fact that it seemed like she was just accepting. He thought lowly of people who just gave up. "Going to just give up?"

The rain had come, bearing it's water as if to share her pain. The rain was crying it's own tears to show how she felt as the rain continued to get heavier as Exultantis got further away, clinging to the necklace hidden in her palm.
