Tricia Gadd (t-unit) | 1 comments I read this story maybe about five years ago. It was in a horror anthology book (maybe Best Horror of the Year of something similar). It was about a man who got on a train and couldn't remember how or why he was there. There were other people on the train but they were very morose. He began walking through the cars. At one point he came upon garbage bags that had deformed creatures inside I think. At the end, he looked out the window and discovered that the train was just going around a track on an endless loop. He looked across the center of the circle and saw his own face back at him from the other train car. I feel that the title of the story had the word 'nihilo' in it but I'm not certain.

Ayshe | 4721 comments It could be "Destination Nihil" by Edmund Bertrand by Mark Samuels. It is included in Glyphotech and Best New Horror 20.

No response from Tricia but sources confirm this is the right story. Moving to Solved.
