Hi I'm Rita and while I watched a few episodes of Gilmore Girls way back when I recently have gotten back into it. I am a book blogger who actually stumbled across the Rory Reading List when a friend suggested it. I can't wait to get started.

Hi All! I'm Erin from Maryland, and my husband and I are currently re-watching Gilmore Girls. I'm a stay-at-home mom to our 2 year old. While watching the series again, I wondered if there was a list of all the books Rory had read. Lo-and-behold there are several, as well as book groups such as this one. Yay! I talk and read in a lot of "toddler speak" right now, and felt it was time to dive back into some literature, so here I am. I don't have a lot of time (does anyone?), but I'm going to try to dive right in and keep up.

Oh my I was so happy when we got past See Spot Run type of books (I have an 8 yr old). Now it's chapter books, which make it feel more like ACTUAL reading. I always counted the picture books in my yearly challenges, which made it seem like I read 150 books a year. Happy you're with us to do some "adult" reading :-)
Hi Everyone! My name is Nellie Olsson and I live in Malmö, Sweden. Gilmore Girls is my all-time favourite show; I have watched the whole thing numerous times. Rory Gilmore is such a great character, and someone I have looked up to (cheesy I know) since I started to watch the show as a 16-year old. It is so nice to have a female role model that is smart and well-read! Ever since the first viewing of the show I have wanted to understand all the references in it, which will probably take a lifetime, haha! Anyway, I love books and Rory Gilmore so I thought I'd give this challenge a shot. I will do it season by season I think. So excited!
I love that I found this group! Gilmore Girls is my favorite show and I just find myself watching it over and over again! I split my time between Massachusetts and New Hampshire and I’m a later in life Gilmore Girls fan! I’ve been watching the show over and over again for about four years now. Hello all! My name is Daria, I'm from Australia and I'm a huge Gilmore Girls fan. I've seen the show four or five times now and that is simply not enough. I love both Rory and Lorelai and Rory especially is someone I've looked up to at times.It's been my favourite show for a while now and since I also love to read I thought it was about time I embarked on the great journey that is reading all of Rory's books. Hi! I'm new, and from Virginia. I've just recently started getting back into the classics and re-watched Gilmore Girls. I love that Rory is an aspiration to girls, making smart intriguing, and I love that it is a phenomenon widespread enough to inspire a reading challenge. I'm excited to read with you guys! So I finally get to introduce myself. :-) I'm Tami and I'm a German theology student currently studying in the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria. Ever since I watched my first episode of Gilmore Girls I was hooked. Gilmore Girls and Stars Hollow mean comfort, fun, and inspiration for me, especially because no one in this show is entirely perfect. (At the moment I'm re-watching it for the 3rd (or even 4th... I guess I lost track...) time on Netflix...) I always could relate to Rory and her lust for books and now here I am. Trying to catch up on my reading. :-D I'm really looking forward to sharing impressions of the books mentioned and discussing with you. :-)

Hello! I'm Andrea, from Spain. I'm studying English philology (this is my last year, yay!) and I love being outdoors. I love reading, and this year I'm trying to read more classics. My favorite classic is Wuthering Heights (I am obsessed with Victorian literature and all Victorian-related things). Some of my fav books that are not classics are A Thousand Splendid Suns and Marina (well, Carlos Ruiz Zafón is my favorite Spanish author and I highly recommend all of his books, they are all really good). I have watched too many favorite shows, but Gilmore Girls is my fav since high school. :)

Hello everyone :-) I am a 34 year old woman from Norway. At the moment I’m a stay at home mom to three kids and my biggest hobby is to read. I read everything and usually more than one book at a time. When Gilmore girls started I watched it religiously and literally had to cancel plans to make sure I didn’t miss an episode. I think I have watched every single episode at least four times and still not tired of them. Love their witty banter and their appreciation for everything written. I look forward to joining this Bookclub and to follow along with the books chosen for each month. I have previously tried to do her reading list but started at the beginning then found it hard to follow along in her order. But this way is better so I can’t wait to get started. At the moment I’m reading little women so I’ll hopefully finish it before sep 1st so I can join you in the next book challenge :-)

Hello. I am Alyssa. I live in Southwest Florida but later this month will be moving to Eastern Tennessee. I grew up watching Gilmore Girls with my mother, who reminds me a lot of Lorelai, and have since watched every episode about 3 times. I saw the Rory Gilmore reading list years ago on Pinterest and have read quite a few from it already, but even though I love to read I sometimes go through lulls, so it’s nice there’s a group where I can kind of be held accountable in a way. I have three little dogs, a husband, and no kids. I am 29.

One of my friends from college loved the gilmore girls show but I never watched it until 6 years ago. And I fell in love with this show, I was so excited every time Rory had a classic french or russian book in her hands, and so curious to discover classic american litterature.
Gilmore Girls has become my "blanket show" every time I'm in a moment in my life when I need to feel cosy and happy I rewatch it. Last time when I was pregnant 😁.
And my favourite episode is the one where Jess come back to see Rory and show her his book. Well I'm a Rory/Jess fan ❤️
I love to read since I'm a little girl. My mother taught me to read when I was 4 years old and I discovered an amazing world. I was in a lot of pain growing up because of a disease and reading was a way to forget the pain. I didn't have friends in elementary school so I spent all my years between my 6 years old to my 10 years old reading all the books of my school library. After that I started reading "adults books" from my parents bookshelf. I've been a big books eater for a long time, but when I started my 3rd year of college I had a lot of studies to do, a lot of parties too! So I started reading less and less. After my college degree, I started working and I kept reading less and less. And now I really miss it and I want to read more (maybe not like I used to because I have my work and my family). When I was a teenager I used to read 4 or 5 books a month sometimes more, and this past years I barely read 5 books on a whole year!
So I'm very excited by this challenge! I don't think it would be a problem but my level in english is not good enough to read this books in english so I would read the french traduction.
I hope my presentation is not too long! I got a little carried away...
Hello all! I'm Rachael from Florida. I started watching Gilmore Girls a couple years ago, and now it's my fallback show. The episodes and dialogue are so rich. I especially enjoy the fall episodes - everything seems so warm and cozy. My family instilled a love of literature and learning in me from a young age. I've loved books and reading my entire life. I can't choose a favorite book. A few books that I've loved recently are The All of It by Haien, Bleak House by Dickens, and In the Heart of the Sea by Philbrick. I'm looking forward to being part of a reading group. It's been so long since I've read and discussed books with a group.

Hello! I'm Skylar and I live in North Carolina. I am a new mom and newly married. I love reading, cooking, and baking. I used to watch Gilmore Girls every day after school! Along with Friends, it has always been my comfort show. I always looked up to Rory and identified a lot with her because I was very into school, learning, and reading. It's hard for me to find time to read as much as I'd like with a 10 month old, but I'm looking forward to making my way through the list. Thanks for having me!
