Introductions
Hi, I'm Ilenia a.k.a. Lily, I'm 18 and I live in Italy. I'm a book addict and I' prefer read classics. I love Oscar Wilde, in fact my favourite book is 'The portrait of Dorian Gray'. I'm a big fan of 'Harry Potter' (I'm falling for Remus Lupin) and 'Gilmore girls'.

My name is Nina, I'm from Germany and am currently working at Starbucks (great for my coffee-addiction and as a way to save some money before going to University in October).
I've been reading a lot for practically my entire life. I've always loved fantasy, yet lately I've been getting into autobiographies and classics. German classics are mostly dramas, so I opted to reading foreign classics, since my english is finally at a level where I can enjoy reading them in their original language.
I love pretty much the entire show, therfore I don't have one episode I like in particular. Same goes for the characters. I just love how special every single one of them is. Even the smaller characters like Kirk and Mrs. Kim. I'm kind of in love with Logan, by the way. He makes Rory come alive. He's fun to be around, yet he can be serious when need be. Also I'm a big fan of the Life and Death Brigade.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to following in the footsteps of Rory Gilmore and please check out my review of Talking As Fast As I Can by the Queen Herself, Lauren Graham (Here is the review). Also please feel free to add me as a friend or if you'd prefer, follow me for a follow!
Love, Penny

I've watched Gilmore Girls in the great old days when you had one episode on tuesday afternoon and had to wait one week to get a new one, no possibility to binge watch... Oh, how my heart always jumped at the sound of the intro music =)
I also read a few of the books, that were actually just the episodes written down so I kind of already knew them by heart.
I've already seen the list of books somewhere a few years ago but I never really continued to follow the list. I'm really looking forward to be reading some (maybe someday all) of these books but at the same time do I not want to force myself to pick up any books. Reading should still be a pleasure.
As some of you mentioned as well I now want to get more into classics. I think I'll soon start with good old pride & prejudice =)
And of course as my previous 'speaker' stated, always and forever: #TeamJess

I've read 43 of the books so far...
I'm not sure about the seasonal Mini Challenges, living in the opposite hemisphere! It might be nice to read about a blizzard while we're in the middle of a heatwave :)
I'm also trying to read the 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die and Oprah's Book Club and a lot of those are doubled up in the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge, tick, tick!
I'm new to the TV series, but really enjoying it (still on Season 1).

My name is Irene and I'm originally from Spain, though I have lived in several other countries during my twenties and I have now settled in Switzerland for good, or so it seems. I am currently a stay-at-home mam of two toddlers so my days are almost always busy, busy, busy, but I try to find time to read whenever I can.
I am currently trying to read more classics and that's partly why I'm drawn to Rory's reading list challenge. But I also think it'll be a great way to learn more about contemporary literature worth reading, which is something i'm almost clueless about. And I thought that by joining this reading group I would be able to get more out of my reading and improve my critical thinking skills. Plus I think it'll be lots of fun - it seems there are so many nice people in this group :)
And last but not least, I also love watching the Gilmore Girls, though I still have to watch the whole series from start to finish. Looking forward to doing that while enjoying some great books along the way!

My name is Faye and I am 21 years old. I'm from The Netherlands so English is not my native language, however I have developed my English quite well over the past few years. Approximately a year ago I started watching Gilmore Girls and I am still in love with Stars Hollow and of course with Lorelai and Rory. I have not read a lot in a while and I want to start reading again, so why not start with some classics from Gilmore Girls? A while ago I started with the Buzzfeed list so I have to switch to the list this group is reading, but that is no problem. I am excited for it!

Hello, May name is Stephanie. I live in the frozen tundra of Minnesota. I am a homesteader and my busy time is the summer. ( I read more in the winter than anytime.)
I've been doing this list on my own for awhile now. I read a lot but, I don't focus on this list that often. I've read 93 of the books as of today (March 26, 2018) I enjoy talking to my librarian about the list and she's doing it as well. I love that it has a lot of classics on it and a lot of other fun stuff. I think I will start reading with the group next month since there is only 4 more days in this month and I am in the middle of some other books right now. I am still watching the original gilmore girls on netflix. I'm on season 5 I think? I look forward to reading with you all!

I always liked the idea of reading but struggled to get a start and now that I am starting to watch the series with my mom again I thought it would be a cool idea to do this challenge. I am not the quickest reader but I will try to keep up.
I love reading classics but I found that I have not read that many so I wanted to challenge myself to read more. There are so many genres that Rory read that I wouldn’t dare to. So this will be a challenge to read all these books.

Hi, I'm Barb! I'm a huge fan of Gilmore Girls. I absolutely love reading and I can't wait to tackle her list.

I have been collecting books on Rory's book list during college, including asking family members for gift cards to Half Price Books or giving them a list of books for Christmas and Birthdays.

I actually wrote out every book in my journal 2 years ago and set some rules for myself. While I had actually read a lot more books on the list than I thought I would have at first glance, I refused to check anything off I could not remember the basic characters, theme or plot. So, that meant approximately 40 books I could have checked off remained on the list. I am currently compiling a Rory Gilmore bookshelf here on Goodreads, and have a Rory Gilmore bookshelf here at home I compile my actual books on. I allow myself to purchase 1 new (used) book to add to my shelf for every 1 I read.
I watched GG when I was younger with my mother, but I am not going to watch reruns right now because I would rather focus my time on the challenge over the watching 😂. What I remember most about GG, was how Rory always had a book in her hand. I am a philosophy major and plan on reading the entire Great Books curriculum once I’ve completed this challenge.
I very much look forward to communicating with all of you.

My name's Katie and I just joined this group today and I'm from Illinois. I'm 20, a college student, and I grew up watching Gilmore Girls (but I've only watched the series in its entirety twice).
I've read some of the books from the list in high school and I've read some on my own (a total of 16 books) but I'm really excited to tackle the list in the group!

I am just starting the reading challenge, and I look forward to knocking out all of the titles in a few years.
So good to be here with all of you, and I hope to get to know you all more!

My name is Jeanine, I'm 34 years old and I'm from the Netherlands. So far I've read 17 books from the Rory Gilmore-list and my favorite scene from Gilmore girls is Rory's graduation speech from Chilton highschool! My two favorite book ats this moment are Gone with the wind and Jane Eyre.

So happy to see that the group is currently reading Wuthering Heights. I started it a couple of months ago and this is a great opportunity to pick it up again! Apart from that, i's a nice way of improving my English.
