I'm Sarah from England, I love Gilmore Girls and feel like I grew up with Rory and Lorelai. My mum found out about me at 17, her parents disapproved and we went it alone just like the Gilmore Girls. The show was a religion for us

Hello everyone! My name is Amy is I'm from South Louisiana. I'm super excited to be here.
I recently started a rewatch of the original Gilmore Girls in preparation for watching the new Netflix reunion and then stumbled upon a Rory Gilmore reading list on Listopedia and thought it would be neat challenge to take on going into 2017. I've seen a couple of other groups like this one on Goodreads, but they don't seem to keep their current reads updated that often. I'm excited to jump in and join the discussions here!

I'm Claire from Belgium. Very happy to join this list. I've been reading a lot my whole life. I even forgot sometimes I read certain books. I'm a former teacher latin/greek (among other things) so I might help with the leader task if I get used to the group. Looking forward to read with you all!
( in advance: i hope I can keep up with the speed as a lot of works haven't been translated in dutch, so the reading in english slowes my speed down)

Currently, I'm watching: Gilmore Girls and Supernatural. Love the wit and humor, not to mention female empowerment in Gilmore Girls(also, it makes me want to read the heck out of books!-hence goodreads) and Supernatural, well...what can I say? The brothers are yummy! Plus, angels & demons...it's awesome. #TeamCastiel<33
Anyway, I hope to expand my knowledge by reading, make some friends along the way and, as a result, expand my world. Happy reading!

Hey! Thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself. I'm Layn, I'm 19 (about to turn 20 though). I'm a New Zealander currently living in Sydney, Australia. I grew up watching Gilmore Girls in a rather splattered fashion-- if I was around when my older young adult sisters were watching it, then so was I. I never really got to watch every episode in consequential order but I've embarked on that mission myself as of late since the birth of my niece. Her mother and I would look after her as a newborn and spend majority of that time watching Gilmore Girls episodes, and since then I've really wanted to catch up on any episodes I've likely to missed out on. I know the characters well enough, watched the great majority of episodes, but would love to get to know any and all in between! I also made the goal of reading more books especially upon the new year, and am so glad that I've found this group to share my love of reading and Gilmore Girls with. Excited to get started.
Hello, my name is Masha and I like to read, draw and learn languages. I started watching Gilmore Girls when I was a kid and stopped when Jess appeared because I did not like him :D I continued or it is better to say restarted to watch the series last year because someone mentioned Rory and as I discovered Jess was much better than all the other Rory's boyfriends, even Dean, my childhood crush (sorry Dean fans) :)
My favorite books are: Der Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse, Martin Eden by Jack London and The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas. :3

I'm Jaymie and I just started this challenge after considering it for what feels like forever. I just graduated college and I'm now at a place in my life that I have a set schedule which will allow me more reading time! Woohoo!
I am a huge Gilmore Girls fan and can't wait to get started on this challenge. I have a feeling this is going to open me up to so many different books that I never really expected to read before now.
Looking forward to all the discussions!

I have just finished watching the ENTIRE original series in a month of binge watching just so I could watch the revival. Late last year I decided to attempt the Rory Gilmore book list but didn't get very far. I'm hoping that by being apart of a group I will be able to stay on track :)
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and chatting about 2 of my loves in lives, Gilmore Girls and books ❤️

I'm Elizabeth from Massachusetts. I'm currently a grad student and started watching Gilmore Girls for the first time this past year as a way to relax from school work. I loved it! I'm looking forward to being a part of this group as I was really inspired by Rory's ambitious reading through the series. Excited to have some sort of guide and camaraderie in reading some awesome books!

Hi Nikki! I was reading your introduction and caught that you're a genealogist and had to write a note because I am too, starting when I was 13. I live in Indiana but visited California several times because family was out there.

Hi Jaymie and Eva!! I'm thrilled this group exists after watching Rory read all those books throughout the series! Always wanted to start a list of them. Welcome!

Hi Rantheworld and Jeanettecatherine! Amazing to see how excited everyone is to read these books and the devotion to Gilmore Girls! Looking forward to sharing books with everyone on here!

I just started on here last fall and it took some time to figure it out (I won't even tell you how long it took me to figure out how to add a picture!) Anyway, welcome! Everyone I've come across is very friendly and helpful, so just ask!

Welcome to the group Layn and Masha! It's so interesting to hear from people all over the world and how attached we are to Gilmore Girls! I wasn't a fan of Jess either, but he gradually grew on me. Looking forward to sharing all these different books with you.

Welcome Nicole and Cely!! The combination of humor and message was always what got me about GG as well! That and the mother/daughter relationship they have! I hope you both will find great reads on here and make friends along the way! It took me a while, but I'm making some great ones on here after I made up my mind to reach out. Enjoy!

Welcome Claire!! I have made up my mind that I will probably never be completely on time with everyone because I read slowly too, but it was because I had a stroke and took 3 years to learn how to read again. I've traveled to Europe but not been to Belgium but want to. Someday!

Nice to meet you both, Amy and Kirsten! Kirsten, sharing the books with someone else is what brought me here, so I hope she joins along too. Afraid you have a jump on me, but that's ok.
Amy, I used to come to your region every other year to visit family. Hoping to come again in the next few years. Hope you enjoy being part of this group!

I'm Haley. I absolutely love Rory Gilmore's passion for reading. I want to embark on this journey with other fan's by reading as much as possible and gaining as much knowledge as possible.

My name is Ramona and I am from Austria. I am currently trying to decide on what and where to study. Meanwhile, I'm working as a translator (German-English) and learning sign language.
I absolutely love Gilmore Girls - I've been watching this series over and over again since I first discovered it about ten years ago. Growing up, I could always relate to Rory, seeing as I was raised by a single mother, loved to read and wasn't a very social person (I'm talking about extreme shyness here.. xD).
I'm really looking forward to this challenge!

Yay for translators! *high-five*
I hope you'll enjoy the rest of the show ;)

I'm Tamsin, I'm 25 and live in the north east of England. I recently discovered Gilmore Girls and Rory's reading list has inspired me to start reading properly again- after leaving too many books unfinished in the last few months (SHAME, I know

I love to read and decided to join this club to open up my reading genre world ( I guess you could say)! Working on the Great Gatsby now so that I can be on track with the next book!
Nice to meet all of you!

I'm Sönne and I'm from the south of Germany. I only discovered Gilmore Girls some months ago - and I keep on wondering what took me so long! Other than catching up on what seems to be the greatest TV series of all times, I love to read, cook, travel and write.
Looking forward to discussing all these books with you! :)

I am Simant from India. I started watching Gilmore Girls just a few months ago and I am loving it. I came to know about this group after tracking some groups which can help me to boost my reading, and I am glad I'm here.

I don't really have a favorite book. I love nearly everything from Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Max Frisch.
I'm really looking forward to do the challenge and to learn more about the group and you guys.
(Sorry for my ,,not so perfect" english!)
