But since our moderator Laura seems to be busy, you have to look in the discussion section. For May it's "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller. You can nominate books for June in the Thread "June 2016 Suggestions". :)

I'm Jill, currently living in Canada. I've traveled a quite a bit and reading is a great way to pass the time in airports and planes, trains and buses.

That was when I found the reading challenge! So excited, there are a few books on the list I have read but not many at all so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in! I'm reading The Bell Jar first and am thrilled to have found this group.

Not that Gilmore Girls is bad, I love it with all my heart but I also love to hate Lorelai and Rory and all their terrible boyfriends/fiancees/hubbies.
I discovered the show a few years ago when my mum got me the boxset for Christmas and her, me and my sister got really into the show. We're currently rewatching it and I'm loving it even more the second time around.
One of the reasons I'm looking forward to participating in this group more, is that I want to read more classics and there are definitely quite a few of those on the list :)

My name is Angee and currently i'm an uni student in London, UK. However, I was born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic. English is the 3rd language i learnt, therefore, I apologize beforehand for any grammatical errors and misspellings. I do want to learn, so feel free to correct me any time :).
I always loved reading, it was my way of escaping the reality when I was a kid. But then i kind of stopped reading when puberty hit and music became my new form of escape. Recently, I found myself picking up a book again and got completely immersed in it, which resulted in a reading spree.
Since I was only a child when Gilmore Girls was airing on TV, i never really got around watching it until it was available on Netflix (it was love at first episode). Watching Rory being a total book nerd inspired me to read more too and when I found this reading challenge, I couldn't resist. The main reason i want to do this challenge though is because the choice of books here aren't typically what i would reach for if i was in a bookstore or a library. But i do want to expand my vocabulary and challenge my critical thinking, therefore this is perfect!
Sorry, if i have been rambling for too long :D
It's very nice to meet you all :)

hey guys, my name is alex and i am from germany. i am a huge gilmore girls fan and i think i am watching my 10th rerun or so. i also love books but mostly i read for fun and ignore the classics. but i really want to read them, and also in english, which will be a challenge for me too. i am looking forward to discuss the books with you. :)

I am a bookworm and a huge fan of Gilmore Girls. I have read many of the books years ago but plan to read them again. I can't wait to get started. I only hope that I recover from this concussion soon so I can start reading again. And I really don't know why I haven't used this website before. I have been keeping track of my book lists the old fashion way. Pen and paper. Well, happy reading everyone.

I'm a big fan of Gilmore Girls and have watched it many times already, and I absolutely love that Rory is so much into reading! So, I'm from Germany and love to read (obvs) and besides that, I love sports, calligraphy, puppies and artsy things. And coffee! Almost as much as Lorelai and Rory love coffee, but only almost. ;-)
Looking forward to interesting, funny and cool book discussions here with all of you :)

My name is Wendy and I'm from The Netherlands, the teeny tiny country somewhere in Europe that everybody thinks of as the capital of tulips, windmills and cheese. I love reading and when I was smaller I also liked to watch Gilmore Girls (even though I really have to re-watch it again soon!). I'm really into playing the piano and singing as well and I'm currently attending college to become an English teacher.
I am soooooo looking forward to reading all these books with you and having discussions about them!

I'm really exited to go through Rory's book list, I usually read mostly historical fiction and classics but I want to pick up the pace and read more and more now. Anyway, I'm glad I found this group! :)

My name is Antonia, I'm 22 and I'm from Romania. I work in a bookshop, but thanks to Gilmore Girls, I want to go to college in the UK next year. I remember watching the series as a child, on TV. I knew I liked it so I started watching it again from begining to end. I cannot say how much I am obsessed with this series, especially since I relate myself with Rory so much. From the amount of coffee intake, weird OCDs perceiving the way the laudry should be washed, to the immense love of books, I must say the resemblances are almost scary, and I bet that happened to many of you here. :)

I don't read as much as I'd like to and I hope this group will kill two birds with one stone: the read more and read Rory's list.

I am Sugandha from New Delhi, India. I recently completed my honors in Political Science, and currently I'm working as an Assistant Editor with an international publishing house. While I intend to enroll into a nice masters programme next year, I've sort of taken off this one to actually work, explore my interests and READ.
I started watching Gilmore Girls a month back, thanks to Netflix, and managed to finish off the first five seasons in the short span of 30 days. Like so many others, I found Rory (and her extreme reading habits) quite relatable, which then inspired me to do her Reading Challenge (which I've been documenting here- https://www.instagram.com/becomingrory). So far, I have only read 22/339 books, but I'm working on it, which is why I am here.
I'm trying to stretch out the remaining episodes for now, until the revival hits Netflix in November. I'm team Jess all the way, for now (because who knows how I might feel once I finish the series). That's about it. I look forward to binge-watching and reading with other GG fans. :)

I'm Crystal, and I'm looking forward to this book list. I just started watching Gilmore Girls, and I fell in love. Many of the books on the list I've already read, but I can't wait to reread them.

Welcome :)
As you can see in the "How it works" thread on top, we use the one written by Bear Allen of Black White and Read Books blog. Her list can be found here:

I started watching Gilmore Girls back in high school. I am currently re-watching the series (again!) before the new ones start in November! Looking forward to this challenge as I have always loved to read.

I hope this group will help me read a whole new variety of books :)

My name is Michaela, I have been taking the Rory Gilmore challenge now for about a year. I didn't know about this group though until Goodreads updated their mobile app. I joined about a week ago and now here I am making my introductions. I am a graduate student in architecture school, which basically translates to not having any time ever, drinking too much coffee, and sleeping too little. In case you are wondering, yes, I am procrastinating right now. I feel like it's important to share this bit of information because it will likely limit my activity on this group and on discussions, but I hope you will all let me stay and be sort of a wallflower. Because of my time constraints, I do most of my reading audio-book-style now while drawing construction documents. I just finished Pride and Prejudice and am currently listening to Frankenstein (I am about half done) and plan on listening to Atonement as it is November's book next.
