To be honest, I have no idea. Even the Harry Potter movies made me fall asleep. I guess I just don't really like books with witches & wizards. I don't know, that's the only book I've ever read like that.

I've read 'em all, started in like 1999 I think so I was still quite young then... I loved the books throughout all of those years when they first came out(only like the first two movies though) so I can only recommend that you guys give them a try at least. Maybe you'll like 'em, maybe you won't, but I think it's worth giving them a chance :)

Have you heard about the harry potter play? Supposed to be about Harrys little boy.

No, sorry... But then, I know very little about Harry Potter (lol). I asked Mr Google though. See http://www.harrypottertheplay.com/
Sounds interesting, but it would be lost on me at the moment I think ; )

Part of the 'London experience' is going to a musical / the theater, so it may do ok there

There is a spin off harry potter movie in the cinema next year.

Glad you are joining us. =)

How are you managing so far?"
I read the first and really enjoyed it. There are too many books on my Jan to read list but I wouldn`t mind doing a buddy read for#2 later on. Mid Feb maybe

What was your favourite part of book 1?

My sister reads a lot and I get so excited when she is reading a book I have read.
I don't own any of the Harry Potter books.
Want me to send a message to the group and see if anyone else is reading Harry Potter?
So...
I was wondering if there were other Harry Potter newbies out there who would be interested in reading them together.
I have a GoodReads friend who hasn't read them either and is up for a buddy read (once the local library coughs up a copy) but it would be nice to have a few people involved if possible.
Thought it was worth asking. I know it's something that's pretty hard to own up to...
