My mom got me this book in about 1994. It was a book that was kind of like a book about how to take care of a pet. But it was monsters. It went through a bunch of different types of monsters then how to take care of them. It is NOT how to take care of your monster. On the cover was a big yellow monster with horns and poka dots. I have been looking for this book for years. Please help

Is this the book you're ruling out - How to Care for Your Monster by Norman Bridwell?
Because of the covers:
The Ferocious Beast with the Polka-Dot Hide by Betty Paraskevas?
Maggie and the Ferocious Beast: The Big Scare by Betty Paraskevas?
Nikki, is this a picture book or a chapter book with mostly words?
Can you describe the type of illustrations - cartoony/realistic, detailed/sketchy, bright/dark colors, funny/scary, etc.?
Can you describe some of the monsters?

it was like a 8×11 picture book. the norman birdwell book is not it thats the one that keeps poping up when I google it. Its Illustrations were very bright colored cartoony but pretty detailed. its def not maggie and the furious beast but the illistrations were kinda similar. the monsters i can remember one had two heads and the one i remember most was a large bipedal yellow monster with horns and poka dots.
it is a book that is silly not scarey the monsters are like all the same kinda like dragon like? like the furious beast. not like in the norman birdwell book where its like a werewolf vampire etc
Could it be "Looking After Your First Monster" by Frank Rodgers? It covers things like choosing your monster, feeding, grooming, hygiene, exercise, training, outings, and such. It definitely has yellow monsters with horns and polka dots. It was published in 1991.
I am not sure if that is the book but it sure sounds like it! I just bought the book you mentioned on Amazon Prime. In two days I will know if this is the book I have been looking for for years!!! Thank you so much everyone. I will let you know when you get it.
