Overall Comments on Swamp Thing by Brian K Vaughan: Those who have read Alan Moore's Swamp Thing agreed that it was a better story and adaptation than the book we had just read. We liked Brian's new take on the series as an idea. The story was too disjointed for us, and by the second half of the book we liked it less and less. We all felt that superheros who fight for environmental causes get the short end of the stick.
Book club snack: Humus and chips (Thanks Gordon!) and Guacamole (Thanks Daniel!) Also green swamp slime (It was green tea)

What we are currently reading/watching: This One Summer by Mariko Tamaki (A young female Blankets?) Ash vs the Evil Dead television show, an all around fun show with excellent pacing. Preacher the comic book series was recommended but only carefully New Thor with a female Thor is a really good comic series. Injection graphic novel series by Warren Ellis. The library has volume 1 now. Time Lapse Film about artist who steals his own ideas from the future.
