Jane Harris | 3 comments Finding Home in the Promised Land, a personal history of homelessness and social exile (J.Gordon Shillingford Publishing,2015) is my book. I notice that you have two editions -- there is only one, this book is just out. Secondly, the cover is missing. How can I combine the editions (Goodreads is not allowing this) and get the proper cover up on this site. Also, I have reverted back, to my maiden name, Harris, professionally. (It was always recorded as "Harris" in Library and Archives Canada, and other library data bases.Only the byline was recorded differently on my second book) So, how can I fix all this?

lethe | 16363 comments I merged both editions and added the cover from Amazon. (When a new book is manually added without ISBN or ASIN, import bots do not recognize the book is already in the database and will add it again.)

If you are referring to the other book (Eugenics), GR policy is to keep the author name the book was first published under as primary author on all editions. (Edit: is the spelling correct though? The cover says Zsovan instead of Zsovanx.)

Jane Harris | 3 comments Glad you caught that, my hyphenated name is Harris-Zsovan (no 'x' at the end). I am not going to be using my hyphenated name anymore in print, since the person who went to jail for attacking me in 2013 was my husband. Just Harris from now on. Actually, Finding Home in the Promised Land is a far better book, and quite different from Eugenics and the Firewall. My style has changed a great deal. So, I am not too worried if people don't realize that I wrote both books. I am very proud of Finding Home in the Promised Land, a personal history of homelessness and social exile. :)

lethe | 16363 comments Have removed the x.

If you prefer, I can remove your maiden name as secondary author from Eugenics and the Firewall. Since it wasn't published under the new name it is not necessary to have both names there, unless you'd like your new author profile to show a complete record of all books you've written.

Jane Harris | 3 comments Thanks, I think it is o.k. as it is for now. I just had some trouble with a couple of trolls from Ottawa who wanted Eugenics and the Firewall to make a political statement about Western Canada that it did not make. One actually admitted that she did not read my whole book, and then gave it a 1. Funny, because Western Canadian readers, especially Albertans who actually live in the province that went through the eugenics fiasco, loved it. That said, I think that Finding Home in the Promised Land, is strong enough to withstand a few trolls. Also, I find that some readers on Goodreads think Canadian spelling is an error. No worries my new book is strong enough to withstand negative types. I appreciate your help. Thanks so much for all you have done this afternoon.
