In Order or Jumping Around?

The Name of the Wind is one of those books that I've never heard anyone say a bad thing about so I'm kind of hyped to read it.

That's how I feel about it too. Everyone seems to love it; never a bad word spoken of it.
I don't think that's cheating at all. As long as you're reading, that's what counts :)

At first I found more difficult to find books than for the 2015 challenge, probably because I did my 2015 plan with several books from the Choice Awards and there were many very generic categories. For 2016, some were very easy too but I'm not sure about others. I decided to read mostly books from my TBR and children books, so it probably doesn't help too.

I like the idea of reading in order, mainly for discussion purposes, but it just isn't a choice for me. Since I use the digital library, it's very unrealistic that I would be able to get a book timed right. I would say that's a downside of the challenge since I really have to choose what book becomes available on my holds list. I managed to remain flexible enough to still really enjoy the challenge but there's no way I could read in order.

I just hate having books at home that I haven't read yet!

Jump around! Jump around! Jump up jump up and get down!
Maybe it's just me.

Re: The Name of the Wind, that's my highest rated, too. This category, along with the 16th on your list, is one that changes as you add/read off the list, so I decided to pick the book in that position when I was making the list, so those are the only two set in stone for me. Good thing I am really excited about both - the 16th was A Canticle for Leibowitz.

Haha. I love that song, now I'm totally dating myself.

Well, I'm glad it makes some sense! Haha! I heard about that series from pretty much everyone else that I'm friends with on here and they've all had very good things to say about it, so fingers crossed!

I'll be jumping around. I'm a huge mood reader, plus I get 99% of my books from the library and have to wait on availability, holds etc. I'm also going through the list twice so that will be two books per task that I'll be doing.

I also read more than one book at a time, giving me more flexibility for mood etc.
It is more challenging to read in order.

I get in "reading moods" too! Consequently I have about three going at the time. I read in last year's challenge about people that did that and it really helped me to speed up. I am also being a lot more lazy about picking my books for a plan this year. Last year I kept changing them and moving them around, so this year I am filling them in as I go. Is that cheating? I will try to do it monthly. I think the idea of a-z commenting is so much better cause it took forever to find stuff last year. Also I think the catagories are a little friendlier and easier to fill.

Do you plan to read in order in 2016 or jump around?
Last year I started reading in order but I found that made it even more challenging for me because I often get in reading moods and want to read a certain type of book that may or may not fit into the weekly category. Still, I like to try and challenge myself so that is my plan again this year - to try and read in order. If I manage to stick to it for the most part, I can see myself deviating once or twice for a couple of very anticipated reads that I will want to read as soon as I get my hands on them regardless if they fall into the weeks I have them assigned to. What about you lot?
Also, if you are part of the 2015 group and since I've been working on my 2016 plan today, I'm curious, did you find it more or less difficult to find books for this year's challenge over last year?
