It was tricky in the beginning, I was really nervous and I'm mostly uncomfortable on the phone, but after a few times it got easier. People tend to ask the same questions over and over again. Yes, I'm allowed to read as Long as I take all the calls and don't let reading Interrupt my working. But as nice as it is, I enjoy my normal work much more. :)

I work in a tax department, I know it sounds boring, but it's interesting and there are a lot of different aspects and tasks.
If i don't know the answer I often tell them we'll call them back with an answer and ask one of my coworkers.

I really wouldn't mind doing that. I want to end up somewhere like that XD I'm doing an accounting degree.

My part-time job while at uni is at the supermarket :/ Can't wait to get out!

Yay Susan! I'm about to finish this one and I have to agree with Maddison, there will be even more cliffhangers and questions you want to have answered!

I still can't get over there are 14 books in this series. House of Night (not sure if either of you have read it) it had 15 books and 4 novellas and I loved the series and defended that book series forever it seemed. By the time I got to book 10 or 11 I was starting to see what everyone was saying. I still loved the series so much and it was really the series that got me reading all kinds of books. I read Twilight and Harry Potter and you would think that those two series would have spring boarded me into reading more but I stayed with my mystery/romance genres and would get so bored I would stop reading for months and months. When I decided to pick up the first book in House of Night I read 5 chapters in very little time and I loved it and the rest is history. I haven't hit a reading slump at all. I've been reading non-stop for over 2 years and loving it. So thankful my daughter is a huge collector of books. She is my personal library (then she up and moved on me :( we swap out books when we see each other so it still works

I bet I will. I was going to start this but wasn't sure if you liked it enough to buddy read another book in this series. Are you going to read the rest? If so I will read along with you. I may get a little behind I have a couple other books to read for another challenge I decided to join. I am right now reading but luckily the books in this series of books are short so I will be able to do all my challenges

@Susan Yes, I'm going to continue this series and I'm happy you're reading along with me :) I'll maybe have some busier days here, I probably won't be able to finish one book a day so don't worry about falling behind. :)
And actually yes, I read a few of the house of Night books but that was a time where I solely read books with german Translation and the Translation of this books was very bad, on top came that I had some other concerns with this books and I haven't picked them back up. :D

@Madison 3 more month, that's a bridgeable time. And after that you probably won't have to work there anymore. :)

Chapter 3:(view spoiler)[First Reed is getting drunk with her new „friends“ and now she’s hungover and doing all those chores. I really wonder what happened to Thomas, I have a bad feeling about that. Maybe he just ran off but maybe it’s something worse. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10: (view spoiler)[Presumably Thomas left a note. I’m not sure if it’s really from him or someone else in Billings, maybe? I actually can’t believe he’s in rehab. But I like Josh, I think he’s a good guy.

And I have so many new questions. What’s the legacy? Who’s Marco? And when will Reed stop being this annoying? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 18: (view spoiler)[So okay, what I really don’t understand is, why doesn’t Reed confide in Noelle this time? Why doesn’t she tell on Natasha, that she wants them to get kicked out. That she has this evidence against Reed? I mean, if there is a mean bitch in this school it’s actually Noelle and I’m sure she could do something to get Natasha kicked out and the photos deleted. Chapter 33: (view spoiler)[Josh is really sweet and I like that Reed called him for advice, one of her good decisions. Now she will be going to a date with Whit, I think he’s a nice guy and it’s mean that Reed is using him to get to the Legacy but I really hope she gets to go there. We won’t find out much about it if she isn’t there. I still don’t think Thomas will show up, personally I think he could be dead. (hide spoiler)]

The End: (view spoiler)[If Reed would have been a little more clever, she would have gone to Noelle earlier and all that would have been settled right away. I like Natasha a little more, now that I know she was blackmailed, too. And Thomas… well, I knew it. I knew he wouldn’t be in rehab. I do have to continue now, there are so many things still not answered and there are new questions as well. Will Reed still be Cinderella? Who killed Thomas? And what will happen with Reed and Josh? I have read both of your messages to each other and sometimes I miss work and then I hear you talk about dealing with people, Maddison and I think nope I don't miss that at all!!! I was a manicurist and while it was a great job and I made amazing money (especially on Saturdays) nothing could make me go back and deal with women like that again. I live in Las Vegas and I had A LOT of strippers come in to get these long ass nails and they would pay with all these ones and I was like ahhhhh I know where those bills were last and I think I need disinfectant after touching that money. Most were nice but a lot were so dang picky. I owned the salon with my sister and mom so that aspect of the business was great but still dealing with people is something else.

Chapter 2: (view spoiler)[Thomas’ Parents make me want to scream, their son died and it’s his funeral and all they do is chat and have fun. It’s making me sick.

I’m wondering if the Bilings girls had something to do with Thomas’ death. They all are so shaken and upset. Maybe they didn’t want him to die but they wanted him to be gone? I bet that Josh’s seat was adjusted during the night before Thomas left. I remember that Noelle and Reed heard a car leave, this has to be Joshs, right? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 8: (view spoiler)[They arrested someone, I wonder if that really was Thomas’ murderer. I don’t think so. And why is his name suddenly Rick? I thought the suppliers name was Marco? Wasn’t that said in the last book? Did I forget something? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 19: (view spoiler)[I hope we are over Reeds crazy anger- and sadness-moments. This is all starting to annoy me, but it’s Reed and I shouldn’t expect her to be not annoying right? I liked that they all went to the SPA, but did she miss the trip with Josh and his family now? I’ll have to read and find out. BTW, I still think Taylor is acting very strange and I still have a feeling the Billings girls have something to do with Thomas’ death. (hide spoiler)]

The End: (view spoiler)[Josh didn’t kill Thomas, I can’t believe it and I’m positive it’s not true. Am I the only one remembering the Thing with the car the night before Thomas went missing and that the Drivers seat Settings were all wrong when Josh drove them from the funeral? Maybe the same Person used his Baseball bat?

Hearing both of you talk about your Jobs makes me really happy that I mostly doesn't have to deal with customers. I think sometimes they can really be a**holes and you still have to be nice to them... :(

I decided to start the next book in the Private series because I liked the first one enough and the cliff hanger was one that I had to know what happened next

So far Reed hasn't developed a backbone yet and has yet to tell the Billings Girls to shove their chores where the sun doesn't shine and that seems to be the most annoying thing about her to me right now. I do not mind helping people out and splitting chores but when they treat her like a common servant and she allows it I just can't deal with that. Oh and the house mother Mrs. Lattimer wanting Reed to make her bed too....yeah I think I would pack up my stuff and move back in with Constance.

Still would love to know where Thomas has gone off to and my guts says Noelle has something to do with it but she would be the easy person to assume that about. What is up with Ariana??? She a little bit out there too. SO many things to find out or understand ... (hide spoiler)]

I had only read part of chapter 9 when I did my first review. I should have read the rest of Chapter 9 then reviewed because of the end of this chapter.

Maddison and Julie, did you second guess the note at the end of the chapter like I am? I wrote some stuff to you both in my spoiler part. I love reading this series with you even though I am behind.

Thomas left a note....or did he??? I love how this book makes you feel relieved and then I start to second guess it. Here is my theory Noelle threatened her to stay away and that night she makes up with him and says she will help him but the next day he is up and gone with no word to anyone, least of all Reed. She comes back that night to find all her stuff packed up and in a new dorm. The Billings Dorm. Then while she is unpacking she just happens to find the note in a book. Why would he put it in a book she may never open. It doesn't fit his style in my book....I think Noelle (probably isn't her it's usually the one you would never suspect like Taylor to be the killer) Okay I am rambling out loud but did either of you feel it was not a note written by him or do you think it is written by him?

XD Yeah all of the books have cliffhangers like that, it's insane!

I personally didn't doubt the note, but that's just because I don't think while I read, I just read. I never theorize XD I allow plot twists to be plot twists.

I need to read CRA too! I watched the movie the other night, and it was amazing! I don't have it on me though :/

Darn it. I think the book is actually good and would be a fun one to read with others. There seem to be a lot of characters and a lot to keep track of (granted I am only 48 pages into it so that may settle down a bit) it would be fun to talk with you and Julie about each of the couples.

Have you ever read The Thousandth Floor? I am almost done with that book but I had 2 challenges that started at the same time and as much as I want to get back to it I had to get my weekly challenge books done....finding time to finish the book would be wonderful. I am really enjoying it. I like all the different POV's and they all live on different levels in this tower and it's just amazing. I look forward to the next 2 books after I get done with this book 1. Just curious if either of you have read it and what your thoughts were. I have about 150 pages left. Maybe I can knock them out tonight. MAYBE I need a reading sprint to get that book finished tonight :D

Chapter 16: (view spoiler)[It’s getting to a point where I can’t keep reading because I’m so uncomfortable with Reed and how she’s acting. It’s getting worse with her. But I can’t stop reading, because I really want to know what’s happening. And now this whole breaking into the Hell Hall with Dash, the straight A student and having him be dumd as f*** just so he can tell Reed how clever she is, with ideas that should be common sense. Chapter 25: (view spoiler)[It looks like Cara Lewis-something (forgot her last name) did the right thing to clear Josh’s name. I don’t know if I really think Blake did this horrible stuff. After his outburst in the art-cemetery everything is possible, but I still suspect the Billings Girls, they have something to do with this. Their reaction is all the more to believe that. Chapter 36: (view spoiler)[Cheyenne seems like a nice girl, I wonder what Noelle is going to do to her. And no news from Taylor, it’s eating me alive that you get only this little information and then nothing. (hide spoiler)]

The End: (view spoiler)[I didn’t suspect Arianna to be such a psycho but I knew the Billings Girls were bad news. I can’t imagine the school without Noelle and the girls though. I somehow want them to turn up in book 5 and still be there. But maybe there will be a new Queen B in school now. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15: (view spoiler)[Am I the only one who thinks that the Cheyenne and Reed-nemesis-situation is sooo badly written? Why are they suddenly nemesis’s? I feel like Kate Brian just needed a new Noelle and took the first character she saw. And what is that whole Cheyenne and Josh-stuff? They weren’t friends before, did they even know each other? This all is so stupid. But entertaining. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 23: (view spoiler)[I’m getting a little suspicious because of that Sabine-girl, I can’t pinpoint it but I have a strange feeling with her, like there is something more about her. With other parts of the story I came to the conclusion the author just goes with whatever seems to fit her story, not minding if it’s making sense in the overall story or not. (hide spoiler)]

The End: (view spoiler)[I never thought I’d be that happy to have Noelle back, but she is one of the best characters in this series. I don’t think Cheyenne killed herself, there has to be something behind all this and I really don’t think that Noelle has something to do with that. (hide spoiler)]
