Renée I can't believe how disappointed I was with the movie!! The book went more along the lines as the first one but the movie was completely different! It definitely made me not want to watch anymore of them but I will continue reading the series.

Nikita No, I loved the movie. I didn't mind the changes at all. It was great even. I still love the books and the movies were awesome.

Allen I LOVED the books!!! I really liked the two movies too! I understand that the books hold so much information that the movies would be so long if you were to put everything there, but I believe that they should be connected in some way. I feel that with The Scorch Trials the book and the movie didn't match almost at all! I found it hard to try to make connections of things I had read and the things I was seeing on the screen. I will forever love the books and I will go see the rest of the movies. I just won't expect them to be connected with the books much.

Dina Fawaz my friend watched the movie before i did and kept whining about the differences.
and when i watched it i honestly get his point.
when i read the book i was so excited and amazed and on the edge of my chair with every turn of a page. the events made sense and it went along with the plot of the first book.
now the movie was good but not at the same quality as the book. they changed so much, and i understand that they can't put the whole book into the movie, but the changes weren't easy passes, they changed stuff that are essential, and are like the base of the whole book.
and to finish this off, the whole thing is called "The Scorch Trials" for a reason, where are the trials exactly in the movie?!

it was my pleasure to rant about this to people i don't know and share almost the same opinion as me :p
and if you still haven't finished the series, you have to finish it
the third book is amazing and .....amazing, no other word can describe it *-*

I definitely will!! Thank you

Sean Nagahama The movie was a bit different from the book and I was thinking to myself hey this is wrong. She should have said that or whatever. I still enjoyed the movie though. People should watch the movie first then read the book. If you read the book first the movie is basically spoiled for you.

I agree, I am disappointed too. There is a difference between making necessary changes from a book to make the movie better, and totally changing the entire story.

Just My daughter (16 years) was eagerly anticipating the movie. She organised to go with friends and I went and sat elsewhere with her brother. I came out of the movie saying that was the worst book to movie adaptation I have ever seen. A couple of her friends agreed. My daughter told me that throughout the movie one of her friends, who hadn't read the books, kept asking who else dies and my daughter's response was that she had no idea as about the only thing the same as the book was the name of the characters. Very disappointed in the movie and probably will not watch anymore.

Amen, sista. I was in the same situation as your daughter.
