An Nhien (annhien101) | 4 comments I have 3 months left in the year to complete my goals in 2019. I’m 100% Vietnamese, so, not a native English speaker. Never studied overseas or work overseas, except for short business trips. At the beginning of 2019, I made a promise to myself that by year-end I would complete at least 2 things: 1/ spend more time something I really love - so there we have the 100 books in 2019 target; and 2/ start doing something I’m really scared of - that's when this YouTube comes to live, as public speaking scares me more than going to the doctor's or crossing the busy streets of Saigon.
Looking forward to connecting with you all <3

Amanda (_eighth_day) | 3 comments Hello, I am Amanda. I only fell in love with reading two years ago. Since then I have read several books and have started a book collection at home to go along with the hundreds on my Kindle. A few months ago I started to post book reviews on Instagram. I don't feel that my reviews are special in any way but I enjoy doing them and helping to spread the word about the books I review. Everyone has their own preference of the type of reviews they like to read so my short, simple ones may just do the job. Feel free to check out my reviews and reach out to me on my Instagram page.

Jamie Muller (jamie3453) | 2 comments Hi everyone! My name is Jamie. I'm from Tennessee, in the U.S., in a little small town that has exactly 3 red lights (but two of them are pretty unnecessary).
I love to read basically all types of fiction! My favorites are historical fiction, suspense, general fiction, and YA.
I am a photographer, and write blogs with my posts. I formally wrote short stories, none published. I also write reviews for restaurants and local stores!
I read 3-4 books a month (more, if time and work allow) and started my own book club to discuss chosen pieces! I would love to review for authors needing someone to review their work! Physical copies preferred but e-books and audiobooks are welcome as well!

message 1428: by Charisse (new)

Charisse Moritz | 115 comments Hi Jamie. Welcome! As a debut author, I'm actively seeking reviews of my mature YA romance, Shakespeare Burning on both Amazon and Goodreads. I currently have a rating of 4.3 stars on Goodreads. I would be happy to provide either a print copy or ebook. Feel free to email me at ugarps@yahoo.com to provide an address if you're interested.
Here's a brief blurb:

He’s the boy who wants to disappear.

One mistake and seventeen-year-old Shake LeCasse lost everything. Now there’s no going back and no way to move forward. The once-popular Varsity hockey captain is living in the basement of a grandmother he barely knows, ditching school, avoiding friends and working hard on self-destruction.

She’s the girl nobody sees.

Cleo Lee survives however she can. Lie, cheat, steal, whatever it takes, and saving Mr. Popular isn’t part of the plan. Telling him the truth about the night that destroyed his life is downright dangerous. She needs to keep quiet, be smart and let the guy she’s been half in love with since middle school throw away a future she’d do anything to have. Too bad she sucks at playing it safe.

Justin Fenech | 13 comments Dear all,

I have published a literary novel called Beauty and Freedom on Amazon Kindle and am looking for honest reviews for it. Am of course willing to offer a review in return.

The novel is the story of two star-crossed lovers meeting in Budapest and starting an affair they can never consummate. A novel about sexuality without sex. As one character struggles with a peculiar phantom limb condition that renders him impotent and another who is trying to ween herself off sex as she fears where her sex-addiction might leave her. This is a novel of connections.

Here is the link on Amazon:

Feel free to contact me on my email: pessoafenech@gmail.com
Kind Regards,
Justin

Hector Fenwick I'm new to Goodreads and I'm a little confused as to how the Reviews Request system works on this forum. Do I send a DOC file of my book to the member that has agreed to review it? Do I have to pay that member? How do I know that member won't illegally distribute it? Perhaps those questions sound silly, but I'm not sure about anything.

E.A. Wicklund (eawicklund) | 5 comments Hi everyone. I have written a lot in the past, but mostly flash fiction and short stories. My first full-length science fiction novel is now available at Amazon. I'm looking for reviews for it.

In "The Huralon Incident," Captain Evander McCray gets one last chance to return to the good graces of the Admiralty by combat testing a new Q-Ship design, ESS Springbok. Soon the seemingly simple anti-piracy mission becomes complicated when he uncovers an audacious plot by an adversary nation.

Someone needs to act now to stop it, but McCray's ship is the only combatant available and it's little more than an armed merchant. It only gets worse when an enemy battlecruiser arrives in the system. His problems are no longer about appeasing political admirals, it's about surviving.

I'm new to this reviewers process so hopefully anyone who is interested can show me the way through it.

Thanks!

message 1436: by Rosaire (new)

Rosaire Bushey | 4 comments Hello
My name is Rosaire (ro-zayer) and I write fantasy fiction. I'm still trying to get my head around Goodreads and this looked like a good place to start.

I've got the first three books of my series on Amazon now and the fourth is being edited and should be ready to go in January 2020. Still, I'd like to get some reviews. The first book is available on Kindle for 99c.

The story is typical fantasy setting (medieval earth-like world) with no magic - until there is. The premise is that someone had to be the first person to use magic, and I've always wondered what that would have been like. This book explores how a person/people figure out this new power and its limitations and abilities. And you find out how dragons are created, so there's that. While not YA I've had people tell me their 11-12 year olds have read it and liked it. It's fantasy, so fools get killed, but it's not graphic.

If you would be interested in reviewing my book, please contact me here on Goodreads or on my website: www.rosairebushey.com and I will happily make a half dozen copies available first-come, first-served. If you don't want to review, please hit me up here on GR and follow and I'll follow back. Love to learn. Cheers.

Kathryn Ford (cathy87) | 20 comments Hi All, I'm a blind author from South-Africa. I've just self-published, but I need some reviews of my book please. It is a young adult romance called The Transfer.
You can learn more on my author page:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...
Or my website:
www.kathrynfordauthor.com

Just pm me your email address and what format you would like the book to be in. I'll be giving it away for free until next Friday, so please pm me as soon as you can.

Ashlyn Cooper is pretty much your average high-school student. She isn't too bad at academics and sport. She has a good group of friends and she has decided she is done with love. Her neat little world is splattered all over the ground when The Transfer swaggers into her life. Enter Jamie Russle, tall, dark and mischievious. With one look he destroys Ashlyn's neat little world and drags his old best friend, Craig Morgan into the thick of things. Follow Ashlyn as she learns what true love is and how complicated high-school can get.

I really hope you find my book worth reading. :)

Sally Wellow (goodreadscomsally_wellow) | 5 comments Good Evening Good Readers,

I've got a new fantasy book out on Kindle (Oscar the Astronaut Explores a New Universe) for 9 plus year old readers.

The main character (Oscar, a ten year old boy whose avid imagination inspires his unique map of the universe), meets Leon the Chameleon who can do more than just change colour. When Oscar discovers Leon can change himself into a spaceship, the two of them are off and away exploring Oscar's map of the universe ... a map which isn't quite as unique as he thought.

Anyone know a 9 to 13 year old interested in space / adventure / magic / who'd be interested in reading and reviewing this? I've written for this age group to reach readers who want vocabulary which engages, stretches, informs and intrigues them. Have I succeeded?

Available through Amazon £2.99.

Seasonal greeting to you all,

Sally

E.D. Robson | 3 comments Hello, my name is Denis although I currently publish under the name E. D. Robson. I live in the English East Midlands near the city of Nottingham. I have had a number of varied jobs through life including merchant seaman and teacher. Now, having reached my sixties I have realised that it is time to re-arrange what’s left of my life and get a career (so when I’m sat in the nursing home and people say, ‘what did you do?’ I’ve got something to tell them). I have been a member of GoodReads for a few months but have only just discovered this group. To date I have written a series of three light hearted fantasies and am working on a fourth book as part of a new series. I also post a weekly blog about my days at sea which I plan to put together into a short autobiography in due course and have hopes to widen my range in other directions.

Details of my books can be found in the review request thread.
