Constance has shown herself to be able to change. Throughout both books she has learned to become more respectful and nice to other people. In the first book she whines and cries all the time, but in the second book she matures and does not whine to much. The one question I have is was her change was out of wanting to look good or maturity?

I think that because she is growing up and she really loves Mr. Benedict and her friends, she is willing to be a little less stubborn for them or at least try to be more mature around them. Also, life-threatening experiences are no time to mess around, so maybe doing all this dangerous work showed Constance to be a team player.
i think Constance has changed and maybe that's not the best thing because in the first book if Constance wasn't so stubborn they would never have defeted mr.curtain and by the way theres a third book if you dont know
Constance is an important character in the series. She shows herself to be a very flat and static character in the beginning of the series. But as you read more, you learn a lot about her. You figure out traits that are amazing. She is clever, witty, and very smart for a 3 year old girl (genius!). As I learned more about her, she became a round character. She also changed throughout the book. She became a Dynamic character in the story. Through the change she became a better person. She was a very stubborn in the beginning. As she went through the mission and spent more time with Reynie, Sticky, and Kate, she became very kind. Her character had a lot of impact on this amazing series!
I like Constance's character, because you don't see a lot of authors use people like her in their books. I also like that she's still a developing character (by which I mean, still very young but smart), which offers a new perspective for the story. I like your idea, Ritvik, a lot, and she really is extremely important.
I agree with Ritvik and Ruby that she has changed because of her surroundings. Gal, I think that it is good that she has changed because now she is more of a help to the team. She is more of a help because she now listens to the group and creates ideas that really help the group. I also think that she can still summon her stubbornness and ruse that quality if it is needed.
is anyone reading the third book because i have a few things to say about Constance there but i don't want to spoile it
Miles is right. Constance has changed because of the environment she is in. The more time she spent with the team, the more she became a better person. She was kind and really helped the team. The team does even better with her better attitude towards all the other members of the team. I also agree with Miles that she can still be stubborn and arrogant. But I also think that she does not use it purposefully. I think that since she was so stubborn before, she brings it out as a habit. It is a habit that is an accident, and that she does not want to summon it in the first place. Constance has really changed herself. And the effects of that change have really proven to help the group of spies a lot.
I like the way that Ritvik puts it, I never really thought about it that way. I thought that Constance is not stubborn any more at all but reading your comment, I realized that Constance is still in the process of changing. When she makes her annoying (but funny) poems that is still her immaturity and stubbornness coming out. I have observed that they have not chapped as often so I think that shows that she will eventually change completely. Now though, she is still in the process of changing.

I think that the poems show her kind and also mature/immature side of her. But the stubbornness is in the process of going away more and more. But when things really go her way, she brings it out. Then it goes back to square one in the process of getting rid of the habit. I also think that the Kate, as the only other girl, is trying to help her out. As well as Kate, Reynie and Sticky are trying to help as well. Hopefully Constance's habit goes away. Once it is gone the team will work together much better than what they are already doing as secret agents.
ok thanks for letting me know i will probably talk about what i need to say when everyone at least started reading it but for now because i skimed through the book again i have to say i see how cooperative constance became and she is a key part to the team because everyone else thinks so hard they miss the obvious and she points it out.
Ritvik, I agree that the poems show that kind side of her but when she writes them, she doesn't go back to square one but only has a minor setback. I think only a major event would take her back to the beginning of the change, but she is so far in the process of changing that I think minor acts of stubbornness like the poems only are minor setbacks
I also think becoming dynamic made Constance round. In the first book, she was just a stubborn character, but as she changes she became more willing and kinder towards others and their ideas. Constance is interesting in a way because she has changed and developed new traits, but she also still has the old ones. For this reason I think she is round.
Well, Constance was just a baby in the first book. As she grew and developed in throughout the books, I think she matured out of need. She had to be strong for her circumstances and fight for what she cared about. Therefore, I believe maturity was the true cause because her intentions and beliefs powered her through the situations in the books, not a sense of wanting attention; there was simply no time to think of that.
i agree and im still wondering dose anyone see that a extreamly important part of the team is that constance points out the obvious when the tam misses it

I don't like constance. Kate carries her around all day and all she does in complain. She gets a little better in the 3 book
I love Constance as a character, especially how she develops from the first book to the third. I do think a big part of her change is her growing up. In the first book she's only 2 (as far as I remember) and I believe the second book plays a year later. At that age one year makes a huge difference and it shows in her character. She matures and is more able to express her feelings and focus on what's important, but she still has some of that toddler mindset.
