Reading Game Plan by Callihan but so far not impressed. The characters are internally inconsistent I think--of course everyone is inconsistent but these are in unbelievable ways...

I just finished Foolish Games by Tracy Solheim which started out kind of slow but got better until I stayed up way past bedtime to finish.

Have any of you read it?

I'm just not sure that particular book is for me. Saying that Susan Johnson has a great style of writing. I may try and find one more suited to me :-)

I liked the story, the humor, and Parker James is a hottie hero; Zoe finally gets her romance and a few other characters from the series appear here and there.

I enjoyed that one too. Loved his relationship with his sister :-)

Definitely made him more endearing. Yes, I would love to "catch up" with them :-) ♥

I finished Game Plan--definitely not up to the level of the first two books.
However I just finished Alissa Johnson's new book A Talent For Trickery. And I loved it. Can't wait for the next in the series.
Now I'm reading Sarah Mayberry's Christmas novella. It's ok...not up to her usual standard but worth reading.

Bummer. I'm reading The Hook Up now and really enjoying it. I've been wanting to read this series for ages and The Game Plan's storyline had me intrigued. Oh well, now I know I'll at least enjoy the first two :-)
I'm about halfway through The Game Plan and I'm enjoying it. Though I don't think it will replace the second one as my favorite.

Deb, I really liked A Talent for Trickery too. It's been too long since we had a full-length novel from Alissa Johnson. I hope this series wins new fans for her.

I liked Bride Says No very much, but I haven't read Maybe.

I'm reading an ARC for Reckless In Love at the moment. I've been a Bella Andre fan for years and this is the second in her new series written with Jennifer Skully :-)
I also just finished the third in Sharon Shinn's latest series. I didn't like it as much as the first two, which I loved, but it was good. And I suspect from what we see of Leah in this book that the fourth will be great.
After a frustrating period where most of what I started wasn't interesting enouh to complete, I've had a bunch of really excellent books lately--this one, A Talent for Trickery, several Sarina Bowens, Cold Hearted Rake, Last Chance Christmas Ball (particularly the Joanna Bourne one), and a couple of collections of Mary Balogh's short stories that I hadn't read before. I hope this continues!

I just finished the first book in a Science Fiction fairy tale retelling sereis. It's called Cinder by Marissa Meyer; I thought it is terrific. I'm now reading the second book Scarlet. You can tell that the first is a fractured-fairy-tale of Cinderella, and the second is a not-so-fractured Red Riding Hood. The third book Cress is actually Rapunzel/Saint Barbara's story. It seems to be more like the Saint than the fairy tale.

I might have to listen to Cold Hearted Rake instead of reading it just to hear her narration.
