Trouble Accessing Tantor.com

Is anyone besides me having trouble accessing the Tantor.com website? I haven't been able to get on for months, even when I click a link from a promotional email I just get "waiting for Tantor.com". I know of at least one other person who is having the same problem, we live in different parts of the country and use different browsers, so nothing obvious that we have in common.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

huh! I just went to tantor.com, it came up just fine. I would suggest that you clean out your browser files, the history and all cookies.

I just accessed Tantor today, too, and had no problem.

Yes, I've had the same problem.

Apparently, when they became Tantor Media, they changed the way you access the site (behind the scenes). If your browser kept the history, it's still trying to access the site using the old cached route.

You'll have to clear this info in order to access the site. My solution was to use a different browser, one where I've never accessed the site, and it works.

I actually contacted Tantor about this and their tech folks acknowledged the issue. It wasn't the smartest decision they made to approach the change this way. I can't access their site from my iPad any longer as I'm unwilling to erase my browser history.

Thanks for the info, Jonetta. I'd actually tried a different browser a while back and it didn't work there either, but then last night I tried a third and it did. Then, a while later I tried in my regular browser (Chrome) again, and got a maintenance message, and now this morning I have access without jumping through lots of hoops for the first time in months. Guess I should have whined months ago! =P
