I halfheartedly started The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, but I haven't made much progress.
When busy, I'm still able to squeeze in some audio time, and I've been working on Columbine, which has been fascinating. I grew up in that area, so it hits pretty close.

After those two I want to finish reading From the Beast to the Blonde by Jack Zipes then start and finish The Gospel of Loki by Joanne M. Harris
Don't Bet on the Prince by Jack Zipes and
Radiance by Catherynne M. Valente
Of course my reading time will inevitably get interrupted by trivial matters like work and eating :) but I still hope to finish all six by week's end.

Hey Sinistmer. I just finished The Young Elites. It was my first book my Marie Lu and I liked it. I just stopped by the library and picked up Legend by her to give that a try too. As for The Young Elites, the last 100 pages I would have never predicted. Refreshing change of pace. Was The Rose Society as good as the first? I like to pace myself reading active series so don't want to get to it too soon.

The Rose Society was awesome! Definitely read it. Let me know what you think of Legend; I did not like it quite as well as Young Elites, but I know people react to books in different ways.

Tell me how Traitor Baru is when you get to it. I loved the whole idea of it but it seems a little heavy for my current mindset, too. And I'm sure I'll feel that way for a while since I am the queen of the wussies.

I'm guessing it won't be for a while. The Sword and Laser group did it for a group read last month I think and I just listened to the podcast where they went over it and it is very political intrigue heavy and very little fantasy and that doesn't sound like my thing. I have to be in a very particular mood for that type of book so I don't see me moving forward with this any time soon.

Havent finished malazan yet. I'm still on Deadhouse Gates, lol.
But that's what I needed to know! I stopped reading All You Need Is Kill, too.

I started Elak of Atlantis by Henry Kuttner today. It's typical sword & sorcery, right from the golden age of the pulp magazines. While the stories themselves are quite good and entertaining, the background story & character names are sometimes rather unintentionally funny than credible. For example, in one story the villains are vikings and the name of the arch enemy is Elf. Kuttner also performed a clear rip off of Howard's Kull of Atlantis here.
