*A note on the schedule if anyone was wondering how it was broken up (and the unevenness) it was based upon the number of chapters within each part and trying to allow for more time for the Parts with more chapters.

Part 1 - 16 chapters
Part 2- 12 chapters
Part 3 - 10 chapters
Part 4 - 12 chapters

It's my first Dostoyevsky as well and I totally agree with you!
I really love our 'Idiot', he is such a wonderful character!

You can start commenting as soon as the folder for Part One opens. But only comment on Part One. A folder for Part Two will open (by the gracious goodness of our beloved moderator, Silver) when we're scheduled to read that section. The system helps to allow us freedom of discussion without worrying about spoiling things for anyone who had gotten behind (often me).

And, Welcome! This is a great group! Very lively and interesting. :)
