Craig (craigly) | 8 comments Craig Morrison: This book is the fifth in the Michael Vey series, and is the continuing story of Michael Vey and the Electroclan. In the last book they rescued a little autistic girl called the Jade Dragon, and got a new ally known as The Voice. In the Storm of Lightning, The Voice takes the Electroclan into protection so they can recover from rescuing the Jade Dragon. The base that the Electroclan was previously staying at was destroyed, and they thought that their families had been killed. As the Electroclan proceeded to hunt down Hatch (the Elgen leader), Hatch was taking over the small island country of Tuvalu. Something that Evans had in this book that he didnt have in the others is that he focused on other characters than Michael. In this case he focused on the glows loyal to Hatch. He focuses on the unrest that they are feeling as they begin to realize just how crazy Hatch is. When Hatch imprisons one of their childhood friends (an Elgen guard captain) they even help break him out and free him. As distrust and unrest grow in the Elgen ranks, the Eloectroclan comes ever closer, Michaels powers become increasingly stronger, a new glow is discovered, and the voices identity is nearly revealed. This book is very engaging and interesting, I give it a 5 out of 5 and I highly recommend it.
