Kraken: The Curious, Exciting, and Slightly Disturbing Science of Squid this one looks awesome so I nominate this one.
Lisa wrote: "Ooh, I second Annika's idea as this is a challenge book for me too."Thanks Lisa! What challenge does Hitch-22 fall under for you?
I nominate Romantic Moderns: English Writers, Artists and the Imagination from Virginia Woolf to John Piper by Alexandra Harris
I would like to nominate Rich Desserts and Captain's Thin: A Family and Their Times, 1831-1931 as it has been on my bedside table all year since I allocated it to the Ace of Diamonds in the 2015 challenge and I think it will be a good read.

I would like to nominate The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins - something I have been meaning to read for ages but never quite get round to.

I've had it on my Kindle for ages so was going to include it as both a Dusty Shelf and the Biography/Memoir of Full Deck :)
Plus, I've heard it's a good read!

Sorry, have we had H is for hawk in our chosen books? I haven't got list of what we have read this year so far and am reading it now. Amazed it is non fiction.
I'll second H is for Hawk. I have read it and loved it, but be very interested to hear what others think.
