Can I cancel a request?

At this point, I don't think there is an option to cancel a request. If you get approved, just don't download the book. I'd send a message (there's a box to 'feedback for the publisher' IIRC) telling them you requested by mistake.

Also, I have another question. If a publisher has rejected a book, do you still keep requesting books from them? Some have said I don't have a big follow up, which is true as I'm just starting on NetGalley, but I don't know if it's ok to keep requesting from them. Or maybe I should wait a while?

My suggestion would be to start with the Read Now books until you've submitted more reviews. Do you have a blog, are you a bookseller or librarian?

Ah in that case maybe email the publisher with your mistake. Life is too short to read a 1-2 star book you know you won't like! ;-)

Just starting my blog. I post my reviews on Amazon, Goodreads and Twitter for now. I've been approved for very good books from big publishers, and rejected for books from unknown authors and small publishers.
As Melissa said, I'm already downloading tons of read now books. I already have one featured review and have been auto approved by 2 publishers.
But the best is I'm reading and reviewing some really great books.
I need help. I asked for a book by mistake. Is there a way I can cancel the request? I searched of all of NetGalleys' help topics and there's nothing about this.
I know I might be rejected for the book, but if I get approved, I'm not sure I want to read it.
