ABANDONED. Puzzle book with a bellboy and intricate puzzles

My brother and I had this puzzle book, it was published before 2005 and for the life of me I can't remember the title or author. Each page had a different puzzle and it was all illustrated and intricate. Each puzzle had a main riddle and smaller number puzzles that went along with it. There was a classic looking bellboy with a flashlight that would go through the puzzles with you and a gorilla that was chasing him if I remember correctly. There was a puzzle with a giant staircase that had monsters on it, there was one that featured a small submarine, one with giant marbles on a track, and there was a puzzle with a room that had clouds on the walls, that's all I can remember. The very last page had a parcel of some kind sitting in brown wrapping paper. It was a large hardback book and was sky blue. Please help!
