Zach I think this book is great and very well crafted. The author, Kwame Alexander, did a wonderful job of creating a great setting, characters, but did a sub par job of having the point of view of Josh, personally. The main character, Josh Bell, lives in a family with a former basketball star in a rich family. Although the book is great, I think that Kwame Alexander could've done a way better job with this technique. For example, in many instances, Josh was the point of view. To continue, I think that he should've changed who the point of view was based on, not just Josh most of the time. Rarely, JB or his dad, Chuck was the point of view in the poem. Finally, I think that if Kwame Alexander did a much better job of change up the point of view often, between Josh, JB, Chuck, Alexis, etc, the book would've been a bit more interesting and you could find out more about characters. To conclude, this book really shows that you may have problems in your life, but you love your family and love what you have.
