Why is Harry Potter and Twilight series always compared?

It' like comparing a Frog to a fish. And i myself just don't like it when ANY piece of fiction gets compared. Even the ones that are alike. It just ruins the fun of it. For example: i never saw anyone comparing twilight to fifty shades of grey even though fifty shades was actually a fan fiction of twilight. It's just a very stupid concept.
