Judge Not – You know what they say about assumptions. A holidaymaker in Italy makes the mistake of misjudging and is humbled when, at last, she discovers the truth.
Angela – Angels come in all shapes and sizes, and some of us have entertained them unaware. As the poet says, “God moves in a mysterious way”.
A Wonderful World – The loss of a loved one can lead to loneliness, but new doors open that can lift the spirits even for those who have been recently bereaved.

It doesn't matter where you're from, you might be having to stay home or maybe your life has been turned upside down with this tricky Coronavirus. Well, here's something that might help with taking your mind off the troubles:

Amazon #1 Best Seller in Books>Romance>Time Travel
A time travel romance : Laura finds herself washed ashore from a shipwreck early in the 21st century - she'd stormed off from her betrothed in 1814 so she's somewhat confused as to how this could happen. She likes her new life but she realizes she has made a terrible mistake.

Meanwhile, Xandra even hates her name as well as all the other bothersome things of modern day life and Laura happens to notice this. Could she...? Yep, she could, and she does. Back goes Xandra to 1814 only to be met with suspicious travelling companions, a highwayman and a delicious man who is still mourning the death of the girl he loved.

How do these two cope with their puzzling new lives? And how does Laura manage not to upset the course of history despite her meddling? And oh boy can she meddle!

If you like a romance with a little bit of mystery, a touch of humour and something of the thriller, then please grab a copy and visit another time, another place.

0.99 until 26th March or FREE on Kindle Unlimited

It's got loads of good reviews and is even available as an audiobook.

I don't write children's stories but here's something from Eugenia Chu for those of you who have children at home most of the time now.
Brandon Goes to Beijing (Bĕijīng北京) by Eugenia Chu
Ages 7-11
Brandon and his cousins are on a trip to visit their grandparents in Beijing, China! While bonding with family, practicing Chinese, touring historic sites and feasting on local dishes, Brandon thinks he sees a tiny panda. However, every time he gets close, the panda disappears! Is Brandon imagining this small creature, or is it real? Will Brandon find out before he has to fly back home?

I've read it myself and it's real cute (educational too).

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 220 comments One Dark Night (The Dark Moon Series #1) by Anna Faversham

Immerse yourself in another place, another time, and take your mind off the world's current problems.

It is 1821 and smuggling is rife on the English coast. Lucy Yorton, dragged away from her privileged early life, must slave on a bleak, run-down farm.

Then two men enter her life:-

Lieutenant Karl Thorsen, sworn to avenge the murder of his father, is a King's man. He is determined to hang the violent smugglers.

Daniel Tynton has smuggling in his blood. Undaunted by Thorsen's threats, he is respected and feared.

The choices we make determine our futures and Lucy is torn between two determined men as the secrets and lies undermining her life are exposed.

And if you've already read this one, then there's also books 2 and 3 in the Dark Moon Series:

Under a Dark Star (The Dark Moon Series #2) by Anna Faversham Take yourself on a journey into a dark world on the Isle of Wight.

and

One Dark Soul (The Dark Moon Series #3) by Anna Faversham What happens when a perfect life meets obsession?

I don't write children's books so if you have little ones in need of some new stories, here's a good one from Erica Graham:-
Talking Tales Catch that Chinchilla by Erica Graham

Erica Graham - Talking Tales: Catch that Chinchilla. Suitable for up to age 8.

Oh no! The chinchilla has escaped! Can Fletch and his sister, Rachael, find the sneaky chinchilla before Dad gets home?

Review: "The atmosphere of the story is one of fun, and I found myself quite unexpectedly smiling throughout the entire story! I definitely enjoyed the massive shock and surprise at the very end of the tale and wholeheartedly recommend Catch That Chinchilla to young readers." - Rosie Malezer for Readers' Favorite

And you can have fun reading it to a child as it has lots of ch, ch sounds in it!

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 220 comments Can’t get to the sea? Foreign travel out of the question? Perhaps reading a book set in a coastal location in the UK will help to spread your wings and bring you closer as you get lost in the story. If you have read One Dark Night, you might like the second book in the series

Under a Dark Star (The Dark Moon Series #2) by Anna Faversham

It is set on an island off the south coast of England. (It’s not essential to read Book One first but, like dinner, it’s often preferable to have the main course before strawberries and cream.)

A ruthless smuggler - The Dark Star - is confronted by Lieutenant Thorsen who is entranced by a woman 'owned' by him. The Dark Star takes his revenge.

And it is FREE from 2nd to 6th June. Of course, it’s always free if you have Kindle Unlimited.

P.S. Hope you get the 'bridge' to Australia soon.

is available on Kindle, in paperback and on Audible.

An exciting story about a precocious bear cub who doesn’t listen to his mother and almost ends up in the hands of the Big Bad Wolf!

Fuzzy Wuzzy, his brothers, Bob and Hal, and sister, Sal, were told to stay in their lair while Mama Bear went fishing. But Fuzzy, bored, decides to explore the world. Ivan the Wolf could not have been happier to see him, given how hungry he is. Can Fuzzy escape Ivan’s clutches?

Rita Kunselman | 263 comments Ann = N.Z is my husband & my favorite place! We have been there twice in 2002 & 2017 . The first trip was just Johnnie & me. We went from 90 mile Beach to Stewart Island stopping at B&B’s. Johnnie drove all of it & the only problem he had was when he had to turn on the blinkers & he got the windshield wipers! We had a wonderful time!
In 2017 we went at Christmas Since there were 10 of us we had to stay at hotels. The 10 were us, our kids, their spouses & our four Grandchildren, two girls & two boys which were all in high school - four teenagers! We went to Queenstown, Mount Cooke, Christchurch & Rarotanga- the Cooke Islands.which is where we stopped on our way back to sunny So Cal one city north ofDisneyland!
Everybody loved it & said we gave them four trips as each place was very different then the others.
I have a special feeling about NZ & the Kiwi’s as I have been reading & reviewing four Authors from NZ for quite sometime. Serenity Wood from 1,000 Islands, Tracey Alvarez from Stewart Island & Kris Pearson from Wellington. Unfortunately I was not able to see any of them when I was there but, considers them good friends as well as good Authors!
I think NZ Authors are Z hidden resource as they are all very good.

Until I wrote my first book, I don’t think I ever thought or even cared how they came up with something snappy or enlightening. But first lines of books have become famous. Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 220 comments November’s blog post has something for everyone.

There’s something for readers – want to choose an Indie author for me to interview?

Something for authors – want to have a mini interview?

Something for everyone – fancy writing a drabble and posting it in the comments? Go ahead, have fun. A drabble is a very short story – exactly one hundred words, no less, no more.

You’ll find the blog here: https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog...

And the cat’s been crying again. Ignored apparently.

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 220 comments I hope you’ll take a look at the answers to the question “Why do you write?” Three authors have responded. It’s a bit like saying “What makes you tick?” Let’s see what goes on in their heads!

And, as the heading says, there’s a gift for you – a free world-wide gift of an ebook so long as you get to it between 5th and 9th December.

There’s also three more answers from authors to the question ‘Why do you write?’ Drop in to

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 220 comments February’s blog takes a look at two more authors’ reasons for writing. Writing takes up an awful lot of time so why do they do it?

There’s also a poem by a Goodreads member and it sure will make you think. Are we all sometimes guilty of this? Can we change? Does giving an orange, banana or choccie bar help? You be the judge.

I’m also asking you to share on the blog your favourite stress reducers.

The link takes you to a place to ponder and share:

And what’s a ‘love that never died’? Hide in Time is a time travel romance about someone who regrets having misjudged the man she loved. Ouch!

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 220 comments Jubilee Joy – many countries around the world are celebrating Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th anniversary of service as Queen. Here’s a quotation from one of her speeches:

"On our own, we cannot end wars or wipe out injustice, but the cumulative impact of thousands of small acts of goodness can be bigger than we imagine." 25 Dec 2016

If you take a look at my blog https://www.goodreads.com/author_blog... you’ll also find a few questions about your favourite titles of my books but also, if you are an author, we’d like to know your own favourite from the books you have written and for readers we’d like to know which title of every book in the world (!) that you think is the best and why.

Anna Faversham (annafaversham) | 220 comments One Stolen Kiss and other short stories by Anna Faversham

This little book is FREE until 24th June.

One Stolen Kiss and other short stories:

Deep in the World of the Dead – Former Army soldier, Ben, tries to settle into civilian life and moves to a new town to audition as a Big Band trumpet player. But when his housing arrangements fall through, he learns how easy it is to become homeless through no fault of his own. Dark clouds sometimes have a silver lining and none shine brighter than those with romance attached.

Judge Not – You know what they say about assumptions. A holidaymaker in Italy makes the mistake of misjudging and is humbled when, at last, she discovers the truth. Love comes in different guises.

Angela – Angels come in all shapes and sizes, and some of us have entertained them unaware. As the poet says, “God moves in a mysterious way”.

A Wonderful World – The loss of a loved one can lead to loneliness, but new doors stand open.

One Stolen Kiss – Set in 1814 England, this is a prelude to Anna Faversham's Dark Moon Trilogy. Daniel, a key figure in the smuggling community, becomes aware of a young girl who will change his life.

Just right for sitting in the sun with a cool drink. Of course, if you're in the southern hemisphere, then perhaps sitting in front of the fire with a hot drink is a better option :-)
