Feel free to pick your own book to discuss, but this month's main that seems fun is:
Chloe Neil's "The Veil". It's a newer book, so feel free to pick another if you aren't into it, just start a thread in this folder!

I tried to get a themed one, but the Thanksgiving romance list is... well, see for yourself:

Camilla (repressedpauper) I'll definitely give that a read!

But Felicia, be honest...did you just pick that because the woman on the cover looks suspiciously like you?

Laura (theloudlady) | 180 comments I'm excited that there is a November Vaginal Fantasy pick. I'm getting a District B13 vibe from the blurb. I can't wait to read it.

Thanksgiving is not one of my favorite holidays so I have no problem straying from the theme.

Personally, I think it looks more like Jessica Chastain.

message 5: by Margaret (new)

Margaret Kearney (makeralfish) It won't be released in the UK until next year. However the author does have a couple of series that are available here. The Chicagoland series looks interesting.

Brandi (biddywink) | 112 comments Oh, this looks good. I like the description (and cover XD), I loooove urban fantasy, and the author is new to me. Thanks for the pick, Felicia!

message 7: by Jane (new)

Jane (javc) Awesome, there is a copy available at my library so I put it on hold. Thanks for the pick, Felicia!

message 8: by Jane (new)

Jane (javc) (Totally didn't mean to say the exact same thing as Brandy above me with "Thanks for the pick, Felicia!" Oops.

message 9: by Sandra (new)

Sandra (whatlovelybooks) I would like to have a month for Comics/Graphic Novels. I just read Nimona, and it was fantastic! We could also read Lumberjanes #1, Bitch Planet #1, and of course Sex Criminals, Vol. 1: One Weird Trick!

Orange | 56 comments Has anyone read Lost Stars, the new YA Star Wars book? I've heard it has a romantic story twist. With SWTFA opening soon (squeals) it might be a fun yet easy read for the busy holiday season. Plus, I have to admit, I'm having a really hard time thinking about anything other than Star Wars right now. It's gonna be a long month.

I wouldn't mind having a month for comics. Sounds like a fun idea. Something like Saga could work, since it has a sort of Romeo-and-Juliet-relationship as a main element. Out of the ones you mention though, the only one I'm interested in reading is Bitch Planet. I tried reading Nimona once and absolutely hated it. :( Mostly due to the ugly artwork. Though one can argue that it makes for more interesting discussions when we, the readers, disagree so much. ;)

Ariel Stirling | 91 comments I agree! I would love to do a graphic novel/manga month. I learned just a few months ago that Harlequin novels are being translated to Japanese and made into manga that is sold in Japan, and then translated back to English and sold in the U.S. I really want to read one of them and see how they turn out after double translation. Lol, I imagine they would be a lot of fun.

Orange | 56 comments If we have a graphic novel month I highly recommend Sunstone.

Brandi (biddywink) | 112 comments A graphic novel month for VF sounds great to me!

Robin YaBlind | 79 comments I'd be into a graphic novel month. Blankets would be a good pick - snowy and romantic.

Tank Girl has an older version Tank Girl and a more recent reboot Tank Girl: The Gifting but they may be a little harder to find. If you're not already familiar it has a kick ass, independent female lead, its set in the post-apocalyptic outback, has romance with a kangaroo man, and female friendship. It's got it all!

message 17: by Caley (new)

Caley | 3 comments Oh no! it's not released in tne UK til 14/04/16...an excuse to check out the Thanksgiving suggestions

message 18: by Zoe (new)

Zoe I really want to read this, it sounds great but isn't out in the UK until April! Guess I'm carrying on with rereading Game of Thrones!

message 19: by Wendy (new)

Wendy (wenz_nz) Geoblocking sucks! it's not available on Amazon Australia until April next year.
