Mehsi Jacquelyn wrote: "It started out great but went downhill. Still enjoyable though. 3 stars :)"

Aww, sorry to hear that. :( Still yay, that it turned out to be a 3 star book for you.

Hope your second book will be better. :D

message 62: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments I read 453 pages yesterday (which is really good for what I have been reading lately!)

today I'm not sure, I have to travel somewhere with my husband tonight and that will cut into my time but I'll read once I get to the hotel room

message 63: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 12196 comments Yeah I'm just at the gym now waiting for my class, but after that I'll have about 6 hours to read. I'm going out tonight which will really cut in.

message 64: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi I have been taking a break this evening from reading and just spend it gaming and doing other stuff. Will be reading the last few pages of a book before I go to sleep.

Mehsi Well it is almost 11pm here, so I am heading to bed. See you all tomorrow, and I hope you all enjoy your books!

message 67: by Linsey (new)

Linsey I just got Nicholas Spark's new release from the library yesterday. I am only allowed to keep it for a week because it is a new bestseller book and at my library you can only check out bestseller books for a week and cannot renew. His new book is so good and I am already on page 140 so hopefully I will be able to finish it in time.

message 68: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Hello everyone! Have a great 3rd day of the Readathon!

message 69: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments WOOHOO!! Good morning everyone!

I unexpectedly went on a little road trip with my husband (I'm in Alabama today!) so I didn't get much reading done yesterday but I'll read more tonight once I get home :)

Good luck everyone (And I hope your day has been awesome Mehsi!!)

YAY! I hope it stays good! I loooove new books :)

message 71: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Afternoon Trisha! Hope your road trip was great, enjoy. :)

Thanks Trisha, and yes, my day was really awesome. Still got most of the evening to be able to read my book, though I might also switch for a bit and do something else.

Good luck to you, and also to everyone else with today's reading!

message 73: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Morning everybody! Hope everyone is having fun reading! I know I am, even if I didn't read nearly as much yesterday as I wanted to read. It's not easy when you keep falling asleep. LOL

message 74: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Afternoon Vicki! Hope today you won't fall asleep while reading a book, maybe you should read a more exciting book? ;)

The name of Nicholas Sparks new book is called See me.

message 76: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Thanks, Linsey.

message 77: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Everyone is doing great so far. I'm happy that some of you find time to read and are really focused on completing your books. I'm behind on what I planned to read because of school, but I hope everyone enjoys their books.

message 78: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Thanks, Michelle. I can't possibly read all my books nor can I read as much as I want each day. In my case work (I teach high school) gets in my way. Lol

Michelle Vicki wrote: "Thanks, Michelle. I can't possibly read all my books nor can I read as much as I want each day. In my case work (I teach high school) gets in my way. Lol"

I just want to read like 2 or 3 books this week. I don't want to pressure myself to finish all of the books I plan on reading. It is more fun when you just read when you can instead of worrying about finishing your planned reads.

message 80: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I agree with you!! That's my plan too.

message 81: by Linsey (new)

Linsey That what I am doing too. I love readathons because it let's me see how much per day I actually read!Even though I might not finish a lot of books this week it is still fun to participate in.

You're welcome. Do you want to buddy read with me the second book in the After series by Anna Todd? I am planning on reading it the day after Christmas.

message 83: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 12196 comments So yknow how you can still read books and count the points for the pages you read of books that you started before the readathon? How do you count points for them? Do you just get one point for every 100 pages you read, or how do you get points for that?

message 84: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Morning everyone! How is everyone doing today? :)

message 85: by Michelle (new)

Michelle @Maddison I don't think you can count the pages of the books you started before the marathon.

message 86: by Mehsi (last edited Nov 05, 2015 06:43AM) (new)

Mehsi Nope, as the Claim the Points topic also says: "To be able to claim points for a book, you must have started and finished it during the readathon."

So those pages/books you read before the marathon they don't count.

message 87: by Mehsi (last edited Nov 05, 2015 12:40PM) (new)

Mehsi Hoping to reach 6k pages at the end of the week. :) I have made that my goal of the week! Only need around 1500 pages more, so I will probably make it. :D

Maddison, I thought you understood this but you can ONLY count the pages for your page count. They do not count for points in any way! The ONLY points you can count are for those books that you start AND finish during the readathon. For example, I had already started It Calls You Back An Odyssey through Love, Addiction, Revolutions, and Healing by Luis J. Rodríguez before the readathon. I've put the pages I've read DURING the readathon but I can't go to the points section and add my book with points. I can ONLY put the number of pages I've read...NO POINTS.

Go to the threads and see how people are doing their page counts and points. You'll see I've included the above book and pages, but if you go to the progress thread where we add points, you will not see that one there.

I hope this is clear for you. :O)

message 89: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 12196 comments Uh huh I seeeeeee. Thank you Vicki *hides face ashamedly* I'm gonna disappear now.

message 90: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments awww, no worries Maddison! it gets confusing with page count and points and all that PLUS all the challenges :)

message 91: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

Trisha | 30284 comments WOW, I have NOT been reading enough lately! I'm hoping to stay up late and read read read tonight!

message 92: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I wish I could read more. I'm working on my paper which is due tomorrow morning so I can't read until later tonight. I have been reading whenever I have 10 or 15 minutes of free time. I'm slowly working my way through my book.

message 93: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 12196 comments I haven't been reading anywhere near as much as I thought. Today's my 4th day of readathon and I planned on a book a day. Only read one book so far, and what I'm reading at the moment isn't counting for any points :/

message 94: by Michelle (new)

Michelle You could probably count the pages still. One book is really good. I still haven't finished one yet. I will probably today if I can concentrate long enough to finish my paper first.

message 95: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 12196 comments I'm confused. This is what my days look like:
Day One (Nov 2nd/3rd) Books and Pages

Day Two (Nov 3rd/4th) Books and Pages

Day Three (Nov 4th/5th) Books and Pages

Day Four (Nov 5th/6th) Books and Pages

Day Five (Nov 6th/7th) Books and Pages

Day Six (Nov 7th/8th) Books and Pages

Day Seven (Nov ??) Books and Pages

Doesn't look like I've got a 7th day to read? Or isn't there meant to be? I'm vaguely confused with how that works :p

message 96: by Michelle (new)

Michelle It should be:
Day 1- November 2nd
Day 2- Nov. 3rd
Day 3- Nov. 4th
Day 4- Nov. 5th
Day 5- Nov. 6th
Day 6- Nov. 7th
Day 7- Nov. 8th

Does this help? Everyone starts at different times so that may be what is messing you up.

message 97: by Amanda (new)

Amanda | 4527 comments I haven't been reading as much as I planned either. One of the books I was reading was sending me into a slump so I had to drop it and find another book that would hold my interest.

message 98: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 12196 comments @Michelle: So one of the days for me is going to be shorter? So the 2nd would be a short day while the 8th would be longer?

message 99: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Amanda wrote: "I haven't been reading as much as I planned either. One of the books I was reading was sending me into a slump so I had to drop it and find another book that would hold my interest."

Slumps are the worst during a readathon. Last time I did a readathon, I actually got a really bad one after. I guess all that reading was too much for me. hahaha

message 100: by Maddie (new)

Maddie (maddisonbruce) | 12196 comments Like would the first day only have gone for 7 hours, because I started at 5pm, while the 8th have gone for 17?
