I sure did until I saw this book! It fits nicely into my Agatha Christie kick too!
What are you reading this week? This Is Where It Ends by Marieke NijkampWhat do you think the question is referring to? The book is about a shooting in a high school. The shooter locks a majority of the teachers and students in an auditorium following an assembly and starts picking them off. I think the title is referring to that moment where you're faced with the possibility of your own death and think, "This is it. This is where it ends." It's that moment where you start to process all the things you should have, would have, could have done.
Did you have a hard time finding a book for this week? Not really. I didn't interpret it as having to be an actual question though - just a book with who, what, where, when, why, or how. I actually had to narrow it down. In the end it was between this, This is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper, and Who Fears Death by Nnedi Okorafor.
I read Where Late the Sweet Birds Sang by Kate WilhelmThe whole title is part of a Shakespearean sonnet that laments the onset of old age and eventual death.

I think it's referencing and in response to comments that Mindy gets and that she's kind of fed up of hearing. She talks about it in the book, how she receives comments and questions that she knows aren't necessarily meant to be nasty but they come across as quite insulting or rude.

Not at all. I knew I was going to put this book in my list somewhere and this category made it easier for me to do so.

I actually found several books that interested me, but having raised a very "energetic" white shepherd, the choice was obvious! I just wish that I would have pursued this training when he was younger. Thanks to this challenge, however, I now know that such an option exists should I ever own another dog like him!

It's a post apocalyptic tale, so I think it refers to the loss of life.

Not really, as I'm doing this after the fact.
What are you reading this week? Why Sinatra Matters by Pete HamillWhat do you think the question is referring to? Frank Sinatra was an entertainment icon to the bobby-soxers of the 1940s and well into the the end of the 20th century. Though he passed away in 1998, his music is legendary, conveying a sadness and longing that transcends time.
What Hamill discusses in this book is that Sinatra's celebrity represented a time in America's history that brought with it hope, longing and desire. It was a time when the first generation of Americans born to newly arrived immigrants could finally overcome both the hardships left behind in their parents' native countries, as well as the ambiguous ignorance and bigotry they found on America's shores. The world was finally their oyster and success was becoming available to all, with hard work and dedication. This was Sinatra's story and why he matters. Moreover, it might have been the last glorious time, when the good ol' USA was young and full of potential, that the American dream would be realized and appreciated in such an impactful way.
Why Sinatra matters is because much of our American culture is woven into the fabric of our history. The contribution he made to this country, and countless others like him, should never be forgotten.

This book was about two lovers who had broken up and married other people but were still in love and it referred to who they were still in love with.

The title is referring to the fact that the women's movement gained incredible traction in a relatively short amount of time and the book is looking at what caused that shift.
