I hate that this book will say like something that makes no sense snd then explain it more later and then more later, it's strange. But I sorta like the story still. So far it's a 3star for me.

I didn't know it was sci-fi either until I was searching for this thread and found it under dystopian/sci-fi ! I'm the same way, I like the surprise. Definitely surprised here!

I feel like there was so much build up and the ending kind of sucked. There was no sigh of relief at the end no bow wrapped around the package. I need some time to process this... I was liking it all the way through! But I don't know how to feel about that ending. I feel like I missed something and need to re-read the last chapter.. (hide spoiler)]

Sorry guys, I forgot to inform that I'm reading it. We had a short road trip on friday and I started reading it, and I've already read upto 50% :P. So far it's pretty good (view spoiler)[ I totally didn't expect Heather to chicken out. I thought she was strong. It could be because her reason to play Panic was too weak, for her damn ex. The game seems pretty tough though. Walking on a plank without any safety, in rain ?? Setting an old house on fire, and telling them not to get help?? Getting almost shot by an old drunken man and his rabid dogs?? This ain't hunger games, this is hunger games on steroids and drugs. But well, the price is also high ( high enough for me to pay three years of my University fees, lol). I like Heather, Bishop and Dodge. I'm not sure about Nat. This is weird, Bishop-Heather ship is kind of not possible, and I'm not rooting for Dodge-Nat ship, lol. (hide spoiler)]

I've finished it. A pretty good read, actually. There was a lot of tension in between the characters but now it's resolved and all good. (view spoiler)[ And that tiger moment in the end? Priceless!!! I'm glad Bishop-Heather are together, there's something about childhood friendship turning to love (sweet sigh). Still not sure about Nat, she kept switching her best friend/scared girl side and the selfish side. Dodge is actually brave and smart..it's just what he did at the end, that could be seriously fatal. He could have just killed somebodY. Dang, that was so hardcore.

I also kind of expected that Panic would be finally over somehow. But..well..it isn't...and there might be a possibility of another book?? (hide spoiler)]

the book starts really confusingly but captured my attention immediately!

The book did start off confusing but by the second page I understood what was going on.

I like the idea so far about the panic game. there should be one rule added though. The winner should have to use half of the money for college or university. There all high school graduates. This would make Panic much more relistic of a town game then.

This bothers me...Why would a town even allow kids to put themselves in very dangerous situations. For example, crossing a wet plank connected to two water towers. It didn't sound like there was even padding beneath if they fell. Horrible.

When it comes to Heather, She is a bit suicidal at the moment. That obviously is why she is craving to jump all the time. Its all because of this Mat guy who broke her heart. She also a very depressive type of teen with very low self-esteem.

It's crazy the way we can react once our hearts are broken. Heather just wanted to feel something other the sadness when she decided to jump off the rocks and join panic.

I totally for shadowed that both Nat and Heather would split the pot. <\spoiler> (hide spoiler)]

I can understand why heather signed up for Panic though, her home life doesn't seem like the best. I find this book boring and Feel like im forcing myself through it. I do enjoy the sections on the challenges only.

Bishop does like Heather. I like that dodge got in on the pot split. Nat is tough still going at the game even though her ankles sprained. Shes tough.

I completely agree that the cops should arrest these teens for playing the death threatening game.

Up to August 18th 86%(view spoiler)[ I'm actually surprised that Bishop 'sort of' turned himself in. I think that he did that for Heather too. I've worked out that Vivian was probably the other judge and that is why she was at his house. I'm glad that Anne wasn't to harsh on Heather, like she said she shouldn't have been keeping tigers to begin with. I'm just glad nobody got hurt - although that spaniel must be scarred for life! End (view spoiler)[ I loved this! Although, the ending was a bit rushed I am glad everything was tide up nicely. I'm surprised that Dodge is still friends with Nat, Heather and Bishop because he couldn't get his revenge but I'm glad he has gained friends from the experience. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ I can't stand this ray guy. He is an ass. Apparently his brother is the reason Doges sister is paralyzed. Yep, that just gives Dodge more reason to win, revenge.

The Author uses Angle as a descriptive word quite often.

Dodge would win this without the girl, just saying.

So horrible that some guy died in the fire. No one knew he was there.

Zev's out. Its dwindling down. I do think what Ray and Dodge did was cheating.

Its hard to believe that only 4 people ever died during the Panic.

I hope Heather wins, she needs the money to support her and her sister.

I would never do the tiger challenge. It's funny, everyone is lieing to everyone.

So, Nat's out. I didn't think she would make it this far. She should be proud.

Bishop is a sweet heart.

I knew mothers like Heather's, best think is for them to get away.

I thought it was a little wrong that Nat was mad at Heather for deciding to jump too. Any seniors could jump and participate. Heather decided and Nat should support her like Heather was supporting Nat. Heather has the right to change her mind and participate. (hide spoiler)]
