Just wanted to let everyone know that an amazing memoir from Janet Burroway, who's legendary for her textbook, "Writing Fiction: A Guide to Narrative Craft," which is the bible for MFA students, goes on sale April 7. It's called "Losing Tim," and it's about her struggle to recover from the suicide of her eldest son, Tim, who was a military contractor in Iraq. It's a beautiful book and very instructive to anyone who's navigating a recovery from losing a loved one to suicide. Five percent of the first-month sales will go to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline so do give it a look if you're so inclined. It's just lovely, healing writing. It will change you.
