Sarah | 21 comments Although I might have a one off like my last project (I hope never again -- to exhausting to do a novelette), I'm stuck in a writing MG short fiction sort of situation.

Though finding zines is trouble, not only for finding the write genre (can't seem to pick one), but many are thematic.:/

I do write short fiction, some of it for kids, some not. I just post on my blog, but do have plans to develop some of the stories more and publish a couple of collections (one for kids, one for adults, probably). I found the magazine market as difficult as you do--and also found I really disliked a lot of what I did read in the magazines.

Sarah | 21 comments I'll actually be editing one I finished recently, possibly into a novelette. I don't exactly do Urban Fantasy, but more of "ordinary embellished magically" sort of story.

What is the best one to read? I've been intrigued by Cricket.

I've sort of lost track. It's been a while since I was shopping around for markets there, and my kids are too old for the magazines, so I'm no longer sure what's out there.

Maranda Russell | 52 comments I do write short fiction for kids. If I publish short stories, it is normally as part of a magazine or anthology, although I have published a few short stories individually for kids in ebook form.
