I believe it suits the book because it relates to how the society matches people to be husband and wife etc. and it relates to the main character being matched with a person of similar qualities.

i think that it works well for the series to be honest. The matching ceremony is what starts the whole journey and that's why i think that it's appropriate. i mean, Kassia doesn't know who her true match was supposed to be right? to i feel like it fits
