In August's precept the quote goes like "Everyone in the world should get a standing ovation at least once in their life because we all overcometh the world."
I didn't get the last part, what does "overcometh the world" mean?

It is based on this Bible verse:
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. I John 5:4
The King James Version uses very archaic language.
