Krisko (kakrisko) | 144 comments I've had to explain to people multiple times that having a piece of evidence such as a fingerprint, shoe print, or tire track does no good unless you have something to compare it TO: a sample fingerprint from a suspect, a suspect's shoes, a suspect vehicle, etc. Many people seem to think that because you've lifted a print, you should be able to immediately solve the crime.
