Mayank will also join you, if you won't mind.
Although he's little bit slow, and if we compare his speed to Manasa's then he's too much slow:P:P"

Don't discourage much :P
It will be fine :)
Mailed him the book?

Jarvis Alright. Later then :)

message 711: by Mayank (new)

Mayank Jain | 42 comments Chemistry, I think the worst subject....it was never easy for me ..so I replaced it by computer science ...he he...
BTW in my view the easiest subject in science, is physics...

Yeah so , somebody has started the novella...yet..??

message 712: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis I too find Physics easy but chemistry isn't that bad :P

Misty, am glad it was easy for you. When's JEE? :)

message 713: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Mayank and Misty, I started the book.... at 1.6% :P

message 714: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Hey Bhaiya :-)
Which one's easy for you then.. of the three sub parts of science? :P

message 715: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Mayank Jain | 42 comments 20 % read on yesterday......I'm not well today therefore...no progress

message 718: by Mayank (new)

Mayank Jain | 42 comments Oedipa, yeah worried about the execution of the will....

message 719: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Didn't get the notification. GR is playing with me -_-

@Manasa, am around 3.6 % done... it is a little confusing. So far, Oedipa is really worried about the execution of will can Mucho, not so much. That's all I can make out right right.

@Mayank, 20%? You are reading fast.... :-)

message 720: by Jarvis (last edited Apr 13, 2016 09:15PM) (new) - added it

Jarvis What do you guys think of Mucho?

message 721: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Lol let's see. He sounds good to me :P

And what do you think of Dr Hilarius?
Such a hilarius name :3

message 722: by Jarvis (last edited Apr 14, 2016 04:15AM) (new) - added it

Jarvis I know, right... Weird book, this one.

I like the lawyer. The only sensible character so far.

What's with this Miles guy?
Around 8% done.

message 723: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Manasa wrote: "Oedipa has a personality problem and so past weird."

If we consider writing, her character is too bland (?) can't connect to it. I had no idea what was happening in the starting. And again there is this part about Miles. Characterless (~.^)

message 724: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Yes, that's what I think. No foundation. Strong and mysterious character but not used well, all waste.

message 725: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Mayank?

message 726: by Mayank (new)

Mayank Jain | 42 comments Hello sorry guys.....i didn't get notifications ..

And yes now i stopped at 26 % and i was not saying anything because of that ...i don't know from which part i should comment...

message 727: by Mayank (new)

Mayank Jain | 42 comments Miles is crazy little boy....a paranoid ...and his song to impress Oedipa..i don't think any girl would be impress by this...hehe...

Lawyer , Metzger is very good looking as novel told me....and an important character i think....

message 728: by Mayank (new)

Mayank Jain | 42 comments Till now, i don't like anything except the chapter of meeting lawyer..... :) ;)

message 729: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis @Mayank, you are reading really fast -_-
Miles is trying to impress Oedipa, she is married to Mucho, then she had to execute some other guys wil.... this is all so confusing.

message 730: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Mayank wrote: "Till now, i don't like anything except the chapter of meeting lawyer..... :) ;)"

Same pinch. Lol :P

Yeah. Maybe.

No, I don't like Miles. :/

message 732: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Manasa wrote: "'some other guy' was her ex-boyfriend right? with whom she ended her relationship an year before she married Mucho ?"

Yeah, that one.
And the lawyer (probably) who asked her to elope (?)

message 733: by Jarvis (new) - added it

message 736: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis We have some scores to settle.

You didn't like Boy's Life.
I didn't like We have always... and Crying of lot 49.

Hmmmm @_@

Jarvis Arpit wrote: "But it has got MANY +ve reviews?"

But you haven't read it :P

And I never read reviews before the book. *shrugs*

message 738: by [deleted user] (new)

Although, it might me a little difficult, as author's bio says- "Thomas Ruggles Pynchon, Jr. is an American writer based in New York City, noted for his dense and complex works of fiction."

message 739: by Jarvis (new) - added it

Jarvis Arpit, it should be :
".... noted for his complex works of fiction, not understood by dense people. " :/ :\

Look I am grumbling.
