I read The Maze Runner by James Dashner, it was a really good book and enjoyed reading it very much. It is a science fiction, post apocalyptic fiction, and young adult fiction genres. I would defiantly recommend this book to somebody else. My favorite part about the book was when Thomas kills the spider, and finds out about all the different sections in the maze and how they move every night.
Something that could've been done better was talked more about the spiders and what they are/do, I didn't think that the author did it very well, and I didn't really get an image of what they are. Instead I just kind of had a picture of a giant spider that is kind of like a robot?
I'm not going to spoil the book to some of you that haven't read the book but it does end in a massive cliff hanger, so if you don't want to read the second one or don't have it I would NOT read it cause the anticipation kills you...

Summary:
This book was about Thomas O’Brien and he was put into a giant labyrinth and when he got there he had no memory of what his name or where he was born then like three days later he remembered his name. Then the group puts him as a maze runner and his job was to run throughout the maze and try and find a way out. One night he runs into the maze to try and save someone but he didn’t make it out in time and so he spent the night in the maze and he had to kill one of the monsters and inside of the monsters he found a key type thing that helped him find his way out.

Personal Reaction:
I liked this book but I kind of thought that the book was a slow start but then it got better and better to the point where I couldn’t put it down it was so good. I have already given you a lot of information and I really think you should read it so I’m not going to tell you anymore that I have.

Summary: The Maze Runner is a book about a boy (Thomas) who changes everything in the Glades. Thomas is a curious boy who has to find everything out by himself. When he wakes up not knowing anything he gets curious. One night as the runners were coming back the doors began to close. Thomas decided to go into the maze. He was the only one to survive a night out in the maze. He didn't just survive though. He killed a griever and saved his friend.

Personal Reaction: This is probably one of my favorite books. It kept me intrigued and curious. When I read this book I couldn't put it down. It really interested me. My favorite character is chuck because he says some funny stuff. I recommend this book to anyone who loves action and adventure. The further you read the more interesting it becomes. I don't really like reading unless I find a good book like this one. Also I like how unique the book is

Dates Read: February 18 - March 1

Summary:

This book is about a boy named Thomas O'Brien. One day Thomas wakes up in a strange place called the Glade. At first he doesn't remember anything about himself, even his name. After a few days he remembers his name and he discovers that he is living in a huge maze with no way out. He is told to never go into the maze and especially not to be in there at night when the openings close. He doesn't listen and goes into the maze one day when the runners return from the maze. He gets trapped overnight and becomes the first to ever survive a night in the maze. After this experience he changes the Glade forever. Whether for good or bad you'll have to read and see.

Personal Reaction:

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was pretty confusing at first but then as you get farther into it, it gets better and better until you can't put the book down. One reason that I liked this book so much was because it was very intense. Not only was it intense but it was also interesting, because it got me thinking about if something like this could ever happen in real life. In conclusion I really enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good read.
