Thank you for joining the group!

Please note that folks from Del Rey will be assisting with the re-read to ensure all goes smoothly.

Important Details:
Dates: The re-read will officially start on 10/26 and will run for 4 weeks, ending on Friday, 11/20. Each week a new section will be covered:

10/26-10/30: Part I SLAVE
10/31-11/6: Part II REBORN
11/7-11/13: Part III GOLD
11/14-11/20: Part IV REAPER

We'll post a new topic for each section.

During the re-read we want to hear from you! Post your reactions to pivotal moments, post memes, ask questions, talk to each other!

Also - feel free to ask Pierce questions. And the end of each week we'll pick a few for him to answer. More on this soon, so stay tuned.

One more thing - if you haven't yet picked up a copy of RED RISING, the eBook is currently on-sale for 5.99. It's a perfect time to jump in or pass the word along to your friends. Here's a link - http://redrisingbook.com/book.php

And the GR RED RISING page - Red Rising

We'll see you on Monday!

Carrie | 2 comments Wooo! I'm really jazzed about this! I had cause to look over the book recently and I didn't realize how much I missed it with the afterglow of Golden Son.

rebekahisreading I'm so excited for this! I'm so excited to re-read it. I hope that we'll do a Golden Son group re-read after.

~Defender of the Shire~ (defenderoftheshire) | 3 comments Woohoo! I can't wait! I haven't gotten the chance to read Golden Son yet, buuuut I just got Red Rising again from the library, so that ought to hold me over until Golden Son is available again :)

message 5: by Sons of Ares (new)

Sons of Ares (sonsofares) | 9 comments Stoked and looking forward to participating!!!

message 6: by Shannon (new)

Shannon (shannonvm) I've been wanting to reread this, can't wait for this!

message 7: by Julie (new)

Julie (fairisle) I'll be a first time reader. I've had this book on my devices for a while, but this is the push I needed to read/listen.

message 8: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Pottenger | 15 comments I just finished re-reading both books last week, but I'll follow along and maybe toss out a question or two. Who knows? Maybe I'll get so sucked in to the discussion that I'll do another re-read!

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications This will be my 3rd re-read of Red Rising. I am SO looking forward to the group read.

message 10: by Beth (new)

Beth | 3 comments Will we be re-reading Golden Son also?

message 11: by Lucia (new)

Lucia (calwen) | 9 comments I'll be joining you as well! Can't wait, it has been long since I re-read Red Rising :-)

message 12: by Sandy Kay (new)

Sandy Kay Kay (sandykayvine) | 1 comments This is a great reason to start my re-read so I'll be done before the final book comes out. However, I don't understand the schedule. When I read it the first time, my reading schedule was 1. Open book and start reading. 2. Stagger out of the book on the last page the next day without sleep. Who knew you could actually space out the reading over a period of weeks?

message 13: by Kain (last edited Oct 21, 2015 03:22PM) (new)

Kain | 1 comments I think I was re-reading Red Rising last year somewhere around November as well to get ready for Golden Son. Maybe I will make it my yearly tradition? Looking forward to see other readers thoughts.

message 14: by Beza (new)

Beza (bezag) | 4 comments Not many of my friends have read the book (shame on them I know) so I'm excited to talk about it with others! I read it differently each time :)

message 15: by Lola (new)

Lola Riley | 16 comments Hopefully, there will be a Golden Son re-read (first time for me). Started yesterday on first read of Red Rising and already ordered Golden Son. Thanks for introducing me to such a wonderful trilogy! And thanks, for more information on the group's reading format.

message 16: by Stacy (new)

Stacy (concretedaisy) | 11 comments I've had such a difficult time convincing my friends to read this! Some know me and my taste for books so well that I just have to say"you NEED to read this!" and they know it'll be good. Others need more convincing. But I'm awful at giving to much away. I hate spoilers. So excited to re read Red Rising!

message 17: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Phillips | 5 comments Cant wait to re-read Red Rising again! This will only be the 3rd time, with many more re-reads to come!

message 18: by Hummingbirder (new)

Hummingbirder | 2 comments I'm happy to re-read over a period of time. I'm not a speed reader. I like to take my time so I can appreciate what I'm reading. And I have limited time each day for reading.

message 19: by Stacey (new)

Stacey (boydsmom) I'm actually going to be reading for the first time. I'm looking forward to getting some insights from those of you who have been through it a time or two before.

message 20: by Jeanette (new)

Jeanette Taylor | 9 comments Cant wait to read Red Rising again!!

message 21: by jess (new)

jess (neo_whalien) | 4 comments I just finished Red Rising about last week!! I should have put it off a little more.

message 22: by Alexia (new)

Alexia Salazar (alexia1303) | 1 comments Red Rising is one of my favorite books, so I wanted re-read it anyway but I didn't know when...until now.

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) Can't wait to read Red Rising! This will be a first time read for me!!!

message 24: by Kailyn (new)

Kailyn Wilson (onethousandbooksandcounting) | 1 comments This will be the first time reading it for me and I'm so excited!! I've heard great things and I'm worried I'll like it so much I'll finish it too fast. (Maybe I can reread it again, ah-ha!)

Karen’s Library | 15 comments Reread for me, but this time on audio!! I bought both to read in anticipation of Morning Star's release! So happy to do this with bunches of others!! :)

message 26: by Marta (new)

Marta (cucuibu) | 3 comments ready to break the chains again

message 27: by Shawn (new)

Shawn Ingle | 25 comments I was planning on rereading this anyway. Perfect timing.

message 28: by Heather (new)

Heather (hmcc) Is there any way to have a page for those who have already read and another for first-time readers? I want to participate but I'm worried about receiving unintended plot spoilers! :)

message 29: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (kristilarson) I'm a first time reader. I won't be able to spread it out over four weeks since I just received my copy from the library, but it sounds like I won't be able to put it down anyway.

message 30: by Casey (new)

Casey Carman | 1 comments I really hope my copy arrives by Monday!! It will be my second read through and I am so excited!
Darrow and Sevro are my favorites!! :)

message 31: by Katy (last edited Oct 23, 2015 10:33AM) (new)

Katy (kathy_h) It will be a reread for me. I don't reread too many books, but this one is worth the time. And I'm pretty sure I won't be able to hold back and spread it out over the 4 weeks either.

message 32: by Justen (new)

Justen Lat | 1 comments What time will this be?

message 33: by Jeanette (new)

Jeanette Taylor | 9 comments I picked up the audio version for the reread - also on sale. Cant wait!

message 34: by Lola (new)

Lola Riley | 16 comments I am a first time reader too, but it is such a wonderful book I read it in 24 hours and plan to reread the sections for each of the discussion weeks. That way there is no worry about spoilers!

Fabi NEEDS Email Notifications Great idea Jeanette. I heard the audio book is fantastic. I'm going to do that too!

message 36: by Natalie (new)

Natalie | 1 comments I don't re-read a lot of books because there are so many on my To Read list. This is one of the exceptions. I can read it again and again. I'm excited to do it with the group.

message 37: by Irene Ellefson (new)

Irene Ellefson (iellefson) | 3 comments I also got the audio version! I love to listen as I drive around Vegas! Can't wait to get started. First time reader! Not a true sci/ fit reader, but I loved reading Marion Zimmer Bradley and Michael Crichton.

message 38: by Brady (new)

Brady | 21 comments I've read this book a total of 57 times, because for awhile it was the only book I had installed on my kindle and I would read it up to 5 times a week. That was about a year ago, though, so I can't wait to read it again!

message 39: by Shane (new)

Shane | 2 comments Had this book on my to read list and looking forward to reading along with the group. First time I am participating in something like this

message 40: by Virginia (new)

Virginia | 3 comments Just read the first two chapters. It was at this point I realized just how imminent Eo's tragic death was.

Thanks!

message 42: by Claire (new)

Claire (roseymacdoo) | 2 comments This is great, I was planning on re-reading Red Rising then reading Golden Son before Xmas ready for the new book's release. Excited!

message 43: by Chelsie (new)

Chelsie (chelzlou) | 1 comments I'm picking it up from the library on Wednesday!

message 44: by Jules (new)

Jules | 1 comments I get so caught up in this story.
"No. No. No," I plead to her. "No, Eo. Please, no!"
Cue flood of tears ;_;

message 45: by Andrea (new)

Andrea Oh my! I accidentally finished the book. Thank you for the group invitation. Without it, I may not have enjoyed this exciting tale until next year.

message 46: by Diane (new)

Diane | 10 comments Ha Ha "accidentally" - reading a good book and stopping at certain sections is kind of like peeing and stopping mid stream. It is hard to do and takes self control. Glad you liked the book so much.

message 47: by Andria (new)

Andria Matlock | 3 comments The first time I read this book I read through the first section pretty fast. I just didn't find it interesting at first. But know going back and re-reading I really got to enjoy it and emerge myself into his world. Some of the questions I have would elude to parts not read yet and I don't want to spoil for others. But do not you feel that Eo had already made up her mind before the lashings to rebel?

Bibliophilic Richard (bibliophilicrichard) | 2 comments *feels* *feels* *feels* hello guys!!!! It's really awesome to see how many people love this book as much as I do :3

See you in the Part 2 thread! :D

message 49: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (sambuffo) | 1 comments Ok I started late but read half the book on Christmas Eve while flighing home. I love this book! Only from a Pepperdine alumni
