Rory, according to a review on Amazon, the first book has 7 stories, the 2nd one has the same 7 stories plus more short stories, so lethe is correct and they shouldn't be combined.

These two need re-merging

I think this was done by mistake since this version was part of the main editions but someone seems to have seperated them, despite being the same book and as far as I can tell, there's no striking differences with these editions (save one or two duplicates).

So if you could please take a look into it I would really appreciate it.

#795/796 It looks like all editions that have Sherlock Holmes #4 as series in the title field have been separated. Also all illustrated editions are separated, as well as all annotated editions (both according to the combine page). And even two editions that are annotated and illustrated.
I don't see librarian notes indicating that some editions should not be combined.

I hope that all editions that are combined have the same 11 or 12 stories.
However, the Dutch edition with the same 11 stories has also been separated from the English edition with 11 stories.
And I'm afraid there might have been more strange separating.

I have spent quite some time on the Sherlock Holmes books before, but don't have the time now for such a large project.

Thanks for letting me know, it just seems odd to me that they are seperated. Granted they are different editions which I can understand (the serialisation of the stories were sometimes misguided) but what gets me is that it's not labelled as part of the same series like the first set of editions.

That's like seperating various translations of a particular foreign work, sure they won't be exactly the same as written, but it's still the same book.
