Elisa | 18 comments I have finished all twelve Poldark books and loved every one. At some point I will have to let go of the characters and move on to another book. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Victoria Smiser | 121 comments Elisa...if you want to stay in Cornwall, I would suggest "SUMMER IN FEBRUARY" by Jonathan Smith. Set in the artist colony of Lamorna shortly before WW1. Based on actual events and people, it is a good read and THEN see the film...

Nope, reread them ;)

Victoria Smiser | 121 comments ANN is RIGHT! If you do not read and re-read, you are doing yourself a disservice. You will find them richer and more alive with each reading. Passages will come alive in different ways and the characters will become more personal...

Elisa | 18 comments I agree with the rereading point - to an extent. I was (read AM) obsessed with Poldark - not just Ross - all the characters, including Cornwall and the sea. I don't know if I can live in my world and theirs and get anything done.

I always have to have something new to read before bed, so when I finish the last book my bedtime reading will move on. However, I plan to do quite a bit of review and research when I'm not in bed. I'm doing a little timeline thingie--anyone is welcome to make recommendations for events to include--post them in the appropriate book folders. But if you haven't read all the books--it's full of SPOILERS!

I'm closing this topic as a duplicate, but the discussion continues in What to Read After Poldark
